Well there is an 18 hours time difference between LA and the east coast of Australia. (19 with summer time)

Which means it's about 3:30 PM Sun here while it's 9:30PM Sat in LA.

Add in the US east coast and Europe and it gets real messy.

OT - Just watched The Moguls on DVD for the first time, nice movie and even though Lauren has a small aprt it's great and she's in the making of bit also, off to check the out takes next.

Then she followed Rory's 'leap of faith' in JLG&G. Perhaps that’s the critical turning point when she should have spoken up, not become a doormat, and maybe even broken up? Perhaps giving Luke a short, sharp shock that pulled his head out of his a$$, and they'd be in a very different place today. Who knows?

It made me laugh, but it also made me think. (Always a dangerous combination. Just like message boards and unemployment. You kids take note.)

Maybe Luke was really the only thing standing in the way of Lorelai being a total nutjob all along. That's the lesson.

How much of the good advice that she's gotten over the course of the series actually came from Luke? Without it, she'd be divorced from Max, have stopped talking to Rory about anything important, and be working at HoJo's.

(We'll call "You should be with someone like Christopher" an off day, shall we?)

Everyone else in her support network is useless. When she has big trouble that she can't discuss with him in S6, what does she get? Sookie being a sounding board, but giving no practical advice. Rory being a passive aggressive brat. ("Let's go spy on Anna." Seriously? Seriously?!) The town pointing and laughing. Emily trying to be helpful but guessing the problem wrong. And a shrink who should be disbarred.

tazz, we haven't really chatted on the threads, but you've got my condolences and supportive vibes too.

Melodie, I'm glad you got to LA alright. So, tour tomorrow? So lucky! Try to sneak in as many questions about filming at Luke's (mainly whether LG's has filmed at Luke's) as possible. I need to know when she goes back into that diner!

That is an interesting point. I think we were all hoping so much that Rory would be the voice of reason that we ignored how kinda bad she actually has been at it in the past. She gets so caught up in 'is Lorelai happy' (which isn't a bad thing per say) that she misses the whole 'what's better in the long run'. I still think Lorelai just really needs to talk to an acutally qualified shrink.

In all honesty, I would like to see Lorelai single for a few episodes before reuniting with Luke. I think she needs the time to refocus on what she really wants, and how she is going to change in order for her relationship to really work. In this time we could possibly get some growth from Lorelai.
Oh and I want her to do this on her own, not going to Rory for advice or to Sookie. She needs to do this herself.

True, but in my mind I want her single for a lot longer than we will probably get, lol.
I don't know, I feel the more time Lorelai is alone the better chance she has to prove herself to Luke and to us. I need to see some changes before I can truely believe she and Luke are meant to be. And I can't help but feel things are going to be rushed because of what has happened so far this season. Eh, probably just me.

uhm.. well we had such a spoiler at the beginning of the season

that she'll be alone for a while after the LC- relationship is over. but if you want confirmation for that one we already had, then sure its a spoiler.

I think she'll be alone for a while. But you must think about the end of GG. and when it turns out to be the last season then people dont wanna see just 5 minutes before the finale that LL reconcile
