Spoilers from Sage:

Couples Round Up!

Who are the couples for the coming year? The powers that be are heavily invested in several pairings and plan to focus on them as a "return to romance" that they feel the viewers are craving. With ratings swirling over the hole and feeling the undertow downward, GH is pulling out all of the stops to throw together the couples they feel have a good buzz. As the line goes paraphrased, "new alliances forming and releasing like a dryer sheet in a load of socks." Will they be a hit or will there be an "s" in front of the hit? The winners are:

JaSam, STar, NEm, Casper and Rexis

Can GH possibly keep enough plates spinning in the air at the same time to maintain five couples? They seem to think so, although NEm might end up with a switch hitter!

One angry fan abused my inbox to tell me that I had Journey spoilers last week and had willfully, intentionally and most cruelly held them back (as if I sit around trying to think of ways to gleefully torture Journey fans) just to be vindictive. Honestly, any I've had I've reported and I'm pleased to announce the arrival of A BRAND NEW JOURNEY SPOILER!!!

[insert fanfare here]

Sam's miscarriage will hit Courtney deeply as she remembers the baby she lost with Jason. The two of them will share a very close moment in the hospital bonding over their loss. She will then leave and go have sex with Jax again.

That is the full and complete extent of Journey scoopage that I have beyond a reiteration of the two already printed a few times (to the point that the print is fading on them):

1) There is no Journey baby planned for the next year, which I guess is now the next ten months since that rumor was planted about two months ago.

2) There is no Journey reunion planned at this time because the powers that be are insisting on pushing forward with JaSam, over Steve Burton's kicking, screaming, frustrated protests. Casper is continuing absolutely for as long as Ingo and Alicia stick around.

Honest to God, that is all of the Journey info I have.

I have likewise been accused of not printing LiRic scoops because I don't like LiRic and/or not printing Becky scoops, so obviously, I must hate Becky.

Neither is true and the reason I do not post LiRic or Becky scoops is because I usually HAVE no LiRic or Becky scoops. Have I posted any? No, not really. Have you seen Becky in major moments that I missed? No, probably not. I can't scoop what's not out there to scoop. Is it going to get any better? Not any time soon. GH has been clear that at this time, they are not planning to create a major story around RH and are basically accessorizing with her. Why? I have no idea, so please don't write and ask me.

I do, however, have [insert fanfare] a LiRic scoop. Elizabeth will also have a tearful moment when Sam loses her baby, as she remembers the baby she lost with Ric. She and Ric talk about it and afterwards, Ric breaks down at the memory of their loss. As I said last week, both this and the conversation between Ric and Liz regarding his marriage to Alexis are presented more as closure than as hope.

Sonny and Carly spoilers? Whutta you think? Even after Carly promises Sonny, Jason and Courtney that she will keep her distance from her father, she finds herself drawn to him and meets with him privately.

Alcazar leaves his meeting with Durant and goes directly to Sonny, intent on playing both ends against the middle.

A press conference with Durant shows Carly standing right beside him as Michael and Morgan watch on TV (Morgan wanted to watch Teletubbies, but Michael threatened to put a hit out on his baby ass if he didn't shut up and watch the bad man who was going to send their father to prison).

Watch for several "who's going to tell??" moments regarding the secret of Kristina's paternity. Alexis and Carly both come close before Carly finally makes the move and gives her husband the news.

Ric and Alexis bond tightly through Kristina's illness as he drops everything to be at her side.

Their commitment continues after their marriage, as they find themselves heading into the custody battle over Kristina.

Look for restraining orders, armed guards and Sonny's hospital bed declaration to his daughter that he'll be taking her home with him. He's willing to pull out all the stops to be in Kristina's life.

It does become hard to separate out Ric's devotion to Alexis and Kristina, which is genuine, from his vendetta against Sonny as the battle ensues. There is no word yet on the outcome of the custody issue, but a number of points are subject being altered now that it is known that Maurice Benard will be returning after his Paternity Leave. The idea still seems to focus around "Sonny loses everything," but since none of it is yet taped, anything can happen.

There was a LOT of back and forth about how to proceed with the romance between Steven Lars and Carly (and still is) and the intro was written in many different ways, all of which were ultimately scratched in favor of a simple, slow progression into romance. Yes, Steven was actually cast as "Carly's new love interest" and he is still slated to be that at this time, but rather than a fall directly into bed, this will play out over the next few months, past the divorce and Sonny's jail time. Look for nothing more than a growing closeness over the next several months and beyond sweeps.

Steven will have to go the distance to win Carly's trust, much less her affection, which is why we've seen the binding of the sprained wrist, the brilliant diagnosis of Morgan and such. It's all part of the bonding process, laying the groundwork for a relationship.

This is another of the stories, as are all of the ones connected to Maurice Benard, that are subject to change at before taping.

BUSTED! Just as Jax and Courtney are heading off to Bermuda (this is before the miscommunications I told you about last week that lead Jax to picking up a Courtney Clone), he is arrested for helping Skye, the Fugitive. Skye has already escaped with the newly returned Luke (The Wub Queen scooped the actual return date of Anthony Geary, which is October 8th! Hurray! Da Man is in the Hizzouse Fer Shnizzle!)

Charges are dropped when Kristina's illness becomes much worse and Ric wants to focus on Alexis.

While the drama of Sam going into premature labor after refusing to be induced to harvest stem cells for Kristina is underway, Courtney and Jax are blissfully unaware and that is when the montage occurs. Don't overanalyze my clink-boom remark from last week. I was merely referring to the juxtaposing of a happy event with tragedy for the montage.

Although Skye and Luke do share a passionate kiss, all won't be roses between them as the specter of Laura still hangs over them.

Skye is particularly upset after running off with Luke to learn that HE was the one who turned Jax into the police!

She wants to go back and save Jax, but Luke is having nothing of it.

Things get even rockier when Skye suggests that perhaps Laura is actually working with Heather rather than being manipulated. Suffice it to say, Luke does take that idea well.

Sam's life hangs in the balance after the premature labor and abruption occurs and Jason holds vigil at her bedside. YES, I did say last week that he breaks down over her unconscious body. That's how it's written at this point at least and the powers that be aren't eager to shift on this one. They want to show Jason's cumulative grief over the loss of his baby with Courtney, of his marriage and of this baby who he had hoped to raise. Why are the powers that be intent on showing us that Jason can feel so deeply? Because it pleases them. It also wasn't a typo last week when I said that Jason and CARLY share some close scenes surrounding the baby's death.

The cursing continues, both from viewers and from Helena as NEm continues to encounter tragedy on the way to matrimony.

Even after the "kiss at midnight in the garden of Aphrodite" and Helena's subsequent death, the bad juju seems to linger as Tyler Christopher takes on the dual role of Connor Bishop (that's the current plan, anyway, although a "Tyler Double" is also being discussed), who witnesses the murder of Helena. Personally, I thought it would be funny as hell if they had tapped Coltin Scott Martines to play Connor and everyone just acted as though they looked identical. Of course, with Martines most recently seen bald as a cue ball, it might not work as well (or might even be funnier).

This brings up all of the questions (rumors only in this particular paragraph, not spoilers) of the very old rumor that (remember this one??) Laura actually had TWINS when she gave birth to Nikolas and that Helena kept one squirreled away. There's also that Cassadine cloning capability to consider. When she wasn't able to get around Stefan to control Nikolas, perhaps Helena grabbed some DNA and cloned herself a copy to keep! Is our Nikolas even the REAL Nikolas? What if HE'S the clone and Helena had her grandson all along? Having an identical Nikolas running around opens a whole hallway of doors, most leading to the ludicrous, but hey, "kiss at midnight in the garden of Aphrodite?" From there on, anything at all makes perfect sense.

That's it for this week! Everyone take care, now.

Rumors from GHH:

It looks like Sophie will be showing up the end of November.
(10/1)

In discussion... Sarah Webber's possible return this spring could
mean big changes for Nikolas and Emily. The relationship between
Nikolas and Lucky would be impacted as well.

In the end the woman who will be Sonny's
undoing may surprise you...

The unexpected person who will provide the evidence that finally gets
Sonny convicted? If the version we are hearing comes about, this person
may be none other than...Sam McCall.

Remember that recent discussion between Sonny and Jason regarding
the paternity papers, where Sonny brought up the issue of medical consent
as one of his arguments for Sam to sign them? It was not for nothing.

Sources tell us that the issue of medical consent will become a very
important one when Sonny and Sam don't necessarily agree on having their
newborn make a life saving donation to the desperately ill Kristina, who is
Alexis' daughter by Sonny. Sam's baby dies after the donation procedure
(we hear the procedure itself is probably not the actual cause of death,
but Sam may or may not know that).

In her grief, Sam will blame Sonny for choosing his daughter with Alexis
over his daughter with her... If this all plays out, Sam may end up
working behind the scenes, and co-operating with the police.

Hmmmmm....Will Sam have a last minute change of heart, or will she find
herself in need of the Witness Protection Program?
(9/26)

Expect the Ric and Alexis story to carry on through at
least June of 2005. (9/26)

Although Liz and Lucky will be becoming closer, water cooler gossip says that
if Liz's sister, Dr. Sarah Webber, is cast as is presently being considered,
the possibility of, L&L2: The Sequel, being the end game is unlikely. (9/26)

Sources tell us that AJ Quartermaine is definitely making a come back
(see earlier AJ rumors below, 7/23 and 9/2).
No word from our end on Lydia so far.

Saw this on the GHH message boards in the spoiler thread:

SOW Maurice sets the record straight

General Hospital fans can relax. Despite published reports Maurice Benard is not!!-taking a break from the show starting in December.

"There is no three-month hiatus" confirms Benard. "I am not taking three months off. There is no possible way"
While Benard has requested some time off at the end of the year to coincide with the show's Christmas break, he insists that it probably won't amount to more than a month.

"I want a little time to recharge my battery", explains the actor who has worked non-stop in heavy front-burner story since returning to GH in 1998. "I'm kind of tired. And (my wife) Paula is having the baby. I can't wait for that. I want a little break. I'll probably just sit on my bed and watch TiVo. That feels good to me"

Benard whose contract is set to expire in December, says he has no desire to leave the show. (Rumor had it that The Young and the Restless was eyeing him.) "Things are cool," he smiles. "I'm into what I'm doing now. Corbin Bernsen (Durant) will be here for a while. It's fun working with him. He's such a nice man and good actor. Right now, it's like being in third gear. I'll take it to the fourth once the big stories start hitting."

Benard says the story he's playing now through November "will wipe me out completely. But I'm gearing up for it, and I can't wait. Then there's going to be another story during February. It's all good."

The actor reports that his contract negotiations with the show are progressing favorably. "The only thing I can say at this point is that we're all moving forward," he confides. "No one is upset. What I'm asking for, what they're (Offering)...everything is cool at this point; nothing is signed. Brian Frons (president, ABC Daytime) is being incredibly generous to me So everything is looking up."

Spoilers from GHH:

Steven warns Jason that Durant will go after Courtney if Jason
interferes with his friendship with Carly.

Carly promises Alexis she’ll do whatever she can to help a seriously
ill Kristina, even if means telling Sonny the truth about her paternity.

Luke explains to Skye that he was drugged when he wrote the
incriminating letter.

Nikolas and Emily believe they have found a way to end Helena’s curses.

Heather prevents Luke from finding Laura in the attic.

Coming....

Heather gets one step closer to her goal.

New spoilers from GHH:

Luke and Skye, Together Again

Robin Christopher, in the NYDaily News shares, "Jax helps her out after she escapes." Skye is determined to find Luke. "Everyone is telling her, 'Luke has betrayed you! He's with Laura!', but she still believes he'll come back to bail her out" of the trouble she's in. "She searches the Internet for him, hoping in some way to hook up with him, but it's hard because she's on the lam and she can't exactly put an ad in the paper. She tries to get Jax to help her, but he doesn't want to look for Luke, so he's not too helpful."ghhSkye finally connects with "Luke" via the internet but her emails are are actually being intercepted by Heather.

Meanwhile, Luke is about to bust out and come for Skye. Luke knows whoever locked him up, "..is a woman, so Skye and Luke will jump to the conclusion that it's Helena. Who else? It's always Helena."

What's next for Luke and Skye? "Capers galore. You should see my costumes! They're not daytime at its best. First I was in an orange prison jumpsuit, then Jax's bathrobe, then prison blues, then a grungy homeless outfit and then actually Luke's clothes."

Down the road Diego may get involved with Sonny and
Jason, much to Courtney's displeasure.

Week of October 4th

10/5 Nik and Em get that hexed kinda feeling.
10/6 Durant is given an opportunity to prove himself worthy
of Carly's trust. Will he measure up?
10/7 Helena cranks it up.
10/8 Luke returns!
John Durant pits Sonny against Lorenzo

Carly is upset when Jason predicts that he is certain John is up
to no good and that Sonny may have to kill Durant one day.

Steven assures Emily that her symptoms are psychosomatic and not
due to Helena's curse.

Justus is named as the heir to Lila’s estate.

Heather learns about Luke's escape.

Cue Twilight Zone music....
Just as Nik tries to choke the "cure" to the curse out of Helena,
Em begins to have difficulty breathing!

After Dr. Lars successfully saves Morgan's life, Carly sees Steven
in a new light. She feels comfortable enough to question him about
her father's true motivations, believing he will tell her the truth.
However, Steve does not come clean with her about Durant.
Yet, at the same time, Steve is not truthful with John either,
about what he and Carly have discussed.

John blackmails Lo with DNA evidence discovered by Steven,
pinpointing Lorenzo as Mary's murderer. He uses this to
coerce Lorenzo into teaming up with him. However, Lo has no
intentions of seeing Carly hurt by Durant's plans for Sonny
and he gives Sonny and Jason the heads up. Neither are
interested when Lo offers to work with them against Durant.

When Sonny then gets in Durant's face, Durant manages to turn
the situation around. He tells Sonny that Lorenzo is really the one
who is plotting Sonny's destruction, because Lo wants Carly.

Later, a furious Durant once again threatens to use the DNA
evidence to prosecute Lo for the murder of Mary.

Week of October 11th

Lorenzo plots Sonny and John Durant's demise.

Eye On Soaps has a 'news flash':

GH Flash!

Faith makes a deal with Luke and Skye.

Heather offers to underwrite the resurrection of the Haunted Star.

As is planned at this time, Carly will be the one who ends up delivering the news to Sonny that his baby with Sam has died.

Unless Faith's deal involves her dying and freeing GH of her pointless existance, I want her icky ass away from my Skye/Luke.

More Scoops from Sage at EOS:

First, we are going to revisit and flesh out the spoilers from last week (they are in italics). If I skip a spoiler that was posted last week, it simply means there was no more to really tell about it.

So you heard that little Morgan is going to be ill and that's what starts the ball rolling? Well, it does involve a ball, but his illness is NOT life threatening and is actually a smoke screen for a story that is to follow. (red herring, darlings, red herring).

Carly comes close to telling Sonny the truth, but doesn't make it. The answer to Morgan's mystery illness comes from Michael and Carly will be relieved to know that neither of her sons will be spending any significant time in the hospital.

Morgan has a bacterial infection caused by his ball rolling into the river and Michael retrieving it for him. Morgan puts it in his mouth without it being washed and that is what caused his illness. Michael confesses this to Dr Steve, admitting that he didn't want his mother to know they were playing so close to the water. Bonding ensues between both Carly and Steve and Michael and Steve. Morgan gets meds and goes home.

Someone got a curse you say?
Cure it in the dumbest way!
Want everything to turn out righty?
Kiss her at midnight in the Garden of Aphrodite.

Helena has now, as of Friday anyway, laid her curse upon Emily and evidently is in possession of a book of curses that rivals even Katrina's (wink). All sorts of things start to happen to Emily and each time she goes to the ER, Dr Steve (the new Tony Jones who is always on call) takes good care of her and she is very cuddly with him. Nikolas manages to find the book of curses and learns that to cure Emily, they have to go to the island of Kronus (remember, Jax owns this island) and kiss at midnight in the Garden of Aphrodite. He drags Emily there and she's about to die and they kiss at the last minute and she is cured. We, on the other hand, are suffering from projectile vomiting.

This pisses off Helena in a major way and she starts to lose it a little more than usual, which is what leads to the attempts on Emily's life in a more direct way, as well as anyone else who gets in her way.

Hell hath no fury like Helena scorned! "Mirror, mirror on the door. Didn't this (attempted) murder happen before?" Memories of Kristen (Alexis' mother) surface.

Helena slips into Kristina's hospital room where Emily is watching over her and tries to kill Emily. Alexis walks in on it and ends up being the person about to get her throat slit (just like Kristen and hey, there's even a baby Kristina in the room!), but Ric comes in and saves the day. After this, Helena escapes and goes into hiding for a while, which lulls those concerned into a false (and stupid) sense of security.

You've likely already heard that a death is predicted. It's a popular female and keep in mind that dead isn't always dead on soaps. Regardless, it's a real "cliff hanger." Speaking of only being "soap dead," a male who is now considered dead will be making a come back.

After a few attempts on her life by Helena, Emily is walking on the blufs and encounters her future grandma-in-law. Helena is about ready to kill her, holding her at knifepoint, when Nikolas shows up, wrestles the knife away from Helena and saves Em. He then tosses Helena off a cliff and tells her to, "Join Stefan in hell." Not Mikkos. Not Stavros. Stefan. Is it Helena who goes over the edge or is it GotchaClone Helena? The man considered to be dead isn't who you'd expect or even guess in a million years. It's Connor Bishop, who is back to avenge the death of his beloved wife. You won't even BELIEVE what happens next in a bizarre nod to ZEm beginnings.

Lois realizes that Lorenzo is still hung up on Carly, but can't seem to resist him.

Not much more to this. As soon as Lorenzo hears that Carly and Sonny break up, he wastes no time making his move. Carly almost goes for it, but goes to her father for comfort instead. More on this below in the next "LoLo" spoiler.

Edward starts to suspect Heather is up to something and puts her to the test. She finds a very unlikely ally and he finds a job at Kelly's.

Starting to smell a rat, Edward gives the part of Lila's estate that was left to him back to the Quartermaines and gets a job at Kelly's, figuring if Heather is still devoted to him when he's poor, she truly has his best interest at heart and isn't in it for the money. Somehow, I just can't imagine John Ingle or David Lewis playing out this story. Heather and Tracy both fall for his ruse and start working together to have him committed.

The return of the object of her obsession throws Heather a bit off her game.

We learn that it is Luke who is Heather's motivation in setting up Skye. When he returns, Heather is thrown off her game a bit, which causes her to not play her cards as well in the Edward situation.

By the way, who IS being hidden away in the Quartermaine attic?

That's where Heather has stashed Laura. We do not see Laura during this time, so squelch the ideas of a Genie Francis return or a recast. It will be done with a stand in.

Daughter and father bond in the hospital after the shooting that Alcazar orchestrates to implicate Jason. Dad is shot, but lives and ultimately proves be selfless as he gives his daughter some heartfelt advice that would undermine his entire mission.

Alcazar arranges for a sniper to take out John Durant and implicates Jason in the shooting. Durant is shot, but survives and Carly stays by his side in the hospital. When Kristina falls ill and bone marrow donors are being tested, Carly doesn't know what to do. Does she tell Sonny or keep the info to herself? She asks her father for advice and Durant tells her to tell Sonny the truth, knowing that if she does, he will have lost his valuable connection to Sonny.

Endings and beginnings; life and death. A donor is needed immediately to save a child's life. One little girl dies and another one lives. In the midst of this, one marriage ends and another one begins.

Alexis takes Kristina into pediatrics for a number of maladies and starts to look like a neurotic mother until Dr Steve makes a grim diagnosis: aplastic anemia. The disease is moving aggressively and Kristina must have a bone marrow transplant within 48 hours to live. Still believing that she is a Quartermaine, all of the Q's are tested and no donor is found. Alexis is about to tell Jason the truth because she cannot bear to tell Sonny in person, but at that minute, Steven comes in and tells them that a donor has been from the donor registry. Alexis doesn't tell Jason, but as the donor is coming to the hospital for the procedure, she is hit by a truck and none of her bone marrow is salvageable. Kristina's situation becomes more and more grim. Through all of the testing, Steve learns that Ned could not possibly be Kristina's father and tells Alexis that it is essential that everyone who could be a donor be tested.

The one that ends does so with a whimper rather than a roar. No exploding glassware or power plays. Just a calm understanding that what's done is done and what's over is over.

Following her father's advice, Carly tells Sonny that Kristina is his child and that she has known since the fire. He calmly says that he's been kind of thinking he must be the father and that he and Morgan should go be tested. They decide together to end their marriage on the premise of just being tired of the back and forth stuff. Meanwhile, John buys Carly the cottage she lived in before and installs a skateboard ramp in the back, which wins Michael's heart. Neither Sonny nor Morgan ends up being a match for Kristina.

The one that begins doesn't go as everyone expects. Both parties want more than a marriage of convenience and are in harmonious agreement over the change of direction.

Ric stands by Alexis all the way through the Kristina ordeal and begins to gently press her further ("Are you SURE EVERYONE has been tested?"). Finally, she admits to Ric that Sonny is Kristina's father and asks what they should do. Ric replies, "tell him, test him and Morgan and then marry me and he will never get custody."

Alexis agrees to marry him and he makes a grand gesture of proposing to her in the hospital chapel, but tells her that he wants more than a marriage in name only. Won't she at least give it a try? She admits to him that she also wants more and they seal it with a kiss.

Jax issues Courtney a challenge much like he did with Brenda, but a missed message causes quite a Casper snag. (It's not over by a long shot)

When Jason is implicated in the shooting of John Durant, exactly as Alcazar planned, Courtney feels a need to stand by him, even though she and Jax have a trip planned to Bermuda. Jax has just come out of being charged with "aiding and abetting" for helping Skye. Ric is determined to move forward with the prosecution until Kristina gets sick, when he drops the charges in deference to Alexis, who is representing Jax. Jax is frustrated with Courtney's support of Jason and tells her (as he did with Brenda) that he will be on the plane and if she shows up, they leave together. If she doesn't, it's over.

She's torn on what to do and returns to the police station, only to find Sam and Jason sharing a baby moment. This makes up her mind and she's ready to join Jax when Carly asks her to stay and celebrate Morgan's birthday with her. Courtney leaves a message for Jax, saying that she will join him in Bermuda the next day. Jax leaves without getting the message, thinking Courtney has chosen Jason. He picks up a Courtney clone for the trip and they get their party on. Thinking he got the message and is waiting for her, Courtney shows up at his hotel room, finds him sleeping alone, does a strip tease for him and *doh!* out comes the Courtney clone from the shower. Courtney is calm and simply tells Jax to "have fun" and leaves.

Diego is VERY defensive of Courtney and Jax catches a faceful of it, then Diego gets it right back! Ka-pow!

Courtney returns to Port Charles and Jax kicks FauxCourt to the curb and follows shortly behind. Courtney begins having trouble with Diego, who has decided he wants to work for Jason and Sonny (*sigh*). Jax tries to make things right with Courtney, but Diego jumps to her defense and ends up punching Jax, who punches him right back. Courtney is furious with Jax for hitting a "child," but Jax retorts, "he hit me like a man, so I hit him back like a bigger man." He and Courtney somewhat mend fences and Diego heads for the docks. An encounter with Sonny's goons earns him ANOTHER punch out and he ends up hooking up with Brook Lyn, much to Ned and Lois' dismay. Since Brook is pissed off at Lois for sleeping with Lorenzo again and Ned for lying to her about Kristina's paternity, she's up for some real defiance and Diego is just the ticket. [Backing up, Brook hears that Kristina is not Ned's daughter and thinks Ned doesn't know this. She goes to him to break it gently and is very angry to find out that he knew all along.]

A totally unexpected person will be the one who provides the vital proof that sends Sonny up the river.

Carly decides to move out of the penthouse and into the house John bought. Sonny is very cooperative and doesn't make a major play to stop her or push for custody of the boys. His focus is completely on Kristina at this time. They tell Michael what's going on, including the fact that Kristina is really Sonny's child and he's extremely put out with Sonny. In the midst of packing to move into the cottage with Grandpa John, Michael inadvertently packs one piece of paper that Sonny thought had been destroyed: a vital page of a pile of papers that would implicate Sonny without question. After Michael gets to the cottage, John finds the paper and reads it with interest. This is the only hard proof that could send Sonny to prison, but it's more than enough for John to use.

LoLo hits the sheets again and Brook walks in on them. Um, EW!

Feeling rejected by Carly, Alcazar is destroyed, feeling he has lost Carly, lost Sage and doesn't want Lois, so he's all alone. His obsession becomes getting rid of Sonny, which is what fuels the assassination attempt on John Durant to frame Jason and Sonny. Lois comes over to see Lorenzo and finds him in the middle of an arms deal.

He pulls the, "You're right, I'm a baaaad man" which leads to yet more bad sex. Brooklyn walks in and finds them in various stages of undress, enough that she's clear on what happened.

Ric lends his constant support to Alexis through a difficult time. The effect this and their upcoming marriage has on Elizabeth is not overlooked, but don't expect a LiRic reunion... more like the swan song.

Elizabeth is deeply hurt that Ric is marrying someone else. The two of them have a conversation in which Elizabeth insists that Ric is only marrying Alexis to hurt Sonny, but Ric assures her that he actually does love Alexis. Painful scene for LiRic fans. Alexis and Ric end up marrying in the hospital chapel.

Sonny gets his lawyer to drop up papers for visitation with Kristina and Alexis goes off on him, refusing to be bullied at a time like this. Ric tells Sonny that if he isn't careful, he will end up barred from Kristina's life forever unless and until Alexis changes her mind.

A Bit of Info...

In reference to the many rumors about both a Journey and Liason reunion, I have contacted all of my sources at GH and they all report the same thing. Nothing at all has been planned or written past the end of November and there are no plans for either couple to reunite at this time. Of course, it's never impossible, but it is not expected at this time. Ditto an AJ return. I have been able to find nothing about it and strongly suspect that it is only a rumor.

Spotlight Spoilers
Sam's Baby Dies, Kristina Lives

Be sure and set your VCR's for November 3rd's episode, when an emotional montage will juxtapose the drama at the hospital between Sam, Sonny, Alexis and Kristina with the first time Jax and Courtney make love (clink-boom2). The weeks of November 1st and 8th, will be very tensed, emotionally charged and draining, so be prepared.

When no bone marrow match is available, both Sonny and Alexis begin pressuring Sam to induce her labor early (2-3 weeks before her due date) so that the baby can heal Kristina. It turns out the baby is a match. Sam decides not to induce, but ends up going into premature labor. She develops an abruption (placenta separates early) and both she and the baby lose a lot of blood as a result. Jason leans on Carly during this time and they watch from the hallway as the fetal monitor stops beeping and the baby dies before being born.

When Sonny gets to the hospital and sees how bad off Kristina is, he breaks down in Carly's arms. She wants to comfort him, but he tells her that he and Kristina are no longer her problem.

The degree of blood lost during the birth has a critical effect on Sam's health and she is unconscious for a while after the birth. Sonny names the baby Adela after his mother and he and Jason share some very tense moments over Sam. Jason tells Sonny that he is going to do what Sonny never did, take care of her and protect her. Later, Jason collapses in grief over Sam's unconscious body.

Off camera, a baby cries and Sam opens her eyes to find Jason there.

Kristina wakes up to find Sonny at her bedside. He tells her he's her daddy, and she's going to come home with him.

When are they going to learn? as totally re-damn-diculous as it is that LF has three kids by three different women in three years and to expect that fans to live with it...How freaking insane is it to think we'd react anyway but furiously to the death of a baby. I'm not watching on Nov 3. I'm just not going to feed their stupidity. Yes, I want a return to romance, intrigues, etc, etc.. Killing baby Lila/Adela is not the way. It sucks, it just sucks. It's depressing, horrible and generally reprehensibe. I'm tired of the dying, tired of the daily torture these people seem to experience. I get physically tired watching the angst meter continue to rise every damned day.

Pruza just suck. Not way around it. They've jumped the shark, forgotten the reason we watch.

I have to actually work now.

Gh is progressively getting worse...

The only thing I am looking forward to on this show is Sonny ending things with Carly. I am very eager to see where Maurice Bernard's story heads when he returns and basically is alienated from his family. I would like be interested in watching him fight for Kristina and i hope he wins, temporarily full custody at one point, and later shared custody with Alexis. At this point Alexis is making me sick with her self-righteousness over Sonny as if she didn't kill somebody and fake multiple personality disorder to get away with it---whatever. The man deserves to be with his kid, and throwing ******* Rick in the mix, makes me hate Alexis moreso for the lengths she would go to keep that child from her father. Just like I hope michael will one day curse Carly out for keeping him from AJ, I hope Kristina will do the same. I guess in a way, Sonny is getting what's coming to him for the way they treated AJ, but damn---I hate these stories they have with keeping kids from their fathers.

Jax and Courtney are so lame and Ingo just needs to leave the show and reunite with Brenda off screen. I don't know if Jax is less likable because of what he did to Brenda years ago, but i do not feel him with anybody on Gh and he looks too old for Courtney...it's lame.

Jason and Sam, too are lame. If the rumors are true and she puts Sonny away, can we please say goodby to this saga with Jason and Sam, b/c she is the ultimate betrayer---damn this storyline just gets worse and worse.

I guess I am just not invested in this show like I used to be. It doesn't seem like too many people are especially with the 3 month musical chairs they play with the couples.

Well when it comes to Alexis/Sonny debate.. I fall on the side of Alexis.

Talk about self righteous.. Sonny is self righteous.

This is a guy who believes that his children are like some property that he owns.. and that attitude makes me sick. I think if Sonny had the capasity to see past what he wanted and actually looked at what was best for his children then maybe, just maybe Alexis would have told Sonny the truth. I look at how he has treated Sam throughout her pregnancy.. begrudgung her the right to try and make a life for her daughter because she knows that Sonny won't be there all the time.. and it makes my Sonny hate rise more.

Yeah Alexis killed Luis and faked multiple personaliites.. (I hated that storyline) but looking at the fact that the man killed her sister, and then made her go into premeture labor, almost killing her daughter.. some could see that as pushing someone over the edge. But Alexis unlike Sonny is not surrounded by the guards, and bullet proof windows, and procecuters trying to take her jail... and she doesn't end up with gunshot wounds and threats on her life every other week, no thats Sonny.

I don't blame Alexis for not telling Sonny... all I have to do is look at Michael and the way that kid is turning out and I see another reason why Alexis doesn't want Sonny apart of Kristina's life.

Also I think it's pretty hypocritical of Sonny ,who has done everything in his power to keep Michael away from his biological father.. (TO PROTECT HIM).. to blame Alexis who was trying to do the same thing for her daughter. And I think it's safe to say that being raised by a known mobster, who has a very bad temper, and who is constantly having his life and freedom at risk.. is a tad bit more dangerous then being raised by a somewhat immature recovering alcoholic..

I remember when Alexis was blackmailed into helping Carly get her kids from Sonny.. Sonny met up with Alexis and told her something along the lines of "I have a right to protect my kids from a mother who doesn't deserve them, just like you have a right to protect your daughter from a a father who doesn't deserve her."

I guess that only applies when that daughter isn't HIS daughter... I'm sure.

I tell you my Sonny dislike has peaked as of recently and I hope somehow, someway he gets knocked off of his high horse.

I wonder why Steve Burton doesn't like the Jason/Sam storyline?

I am finally getting tired of the whole Nik/Em relationship. Took me awhile of "Why does everyone hate them?" and "I really like them together, I don't see the big deal" to get that they suck.

Dazzling, I feel you on Sonny's self-righteousness. I guess I am a little biased because I'm just used to his attitude now. But on the whole, he is ridiculous a lot of the time and I too hated him during the Carly divorce battle that happened last especially the way he was treating her.

I think where my problem lies is somewhat in my love/hate relationship for Sonny, but with the situation with Alexis, I just think it is unfair to just not allow your child the right to know her father at all. Just like I feel it was wrong for them to poison Michael against AJ. Aj may have been an ass, but to keep Michael from him period and not even attempt joint custody, I felt that was wrong. One parent should not decide that another is not good enough so they don't have a right to know their child.

I understand Alexis' concern with Sonny's lifestyle and his behavior in wanting to take over if he found that the child was his, but as far as I am concerned, neither one of them has the right to judge one another because neither is stand up anymore. What is sinister to me about Alexis is bringing Rick, who everyone just seems to forget, tortured a pregnant Carly and got away with it---why would you want someone like that around your child---someone who carries a sick vengeance for their brother. Rick is pathetic, so for Alexis to judge Sonny as worse or not fit is beyond me just as it would be wrong for Sonny to judge Alexis for being a murderer because he is too. Poor Kristina!!!

As far as the Sam situation, it is hard for me to see what the problem is....Sonny really is just insuring that he and Sam will share custody and that he will be recognized as his child's father. I am really having trouble understanding why Jason is trying to protect her from Sonny and in a sense turn her against him, because he is not infringing upon her rights, he is trying to insure his. I feel Sam because he did choose another family over his family with her and it does seem like Sonny wants his cake and to eat it too. However, it does seem like as days go one, he is being punished for staying with Carly. It really is a sticky situation.

But overall, Iam eager to see Sonny's character arc after all the crap goes down and he returns from break.

How is Jason turning Sam against Sonny? If anything, it kinda seems like she's the one trying to get him to wise up to how poorly Sonny treats him at times.

And there's not going to be a break. SID apparently says Mo's taking 2 weeks off... and he's pre-taping.

That is some of the most depressing news I have ever heard.

Well I hate to be the bearer of more bad news to some, but Mo just signed a 4 year contract with GH.

he said he was hesitant to sign for such a long term, but apparently they gave him what he wanted.

Why don't they just change the name of the show to Sonny's World right now?

I miss Liz. Give the woman something to do for pity's sake. I know Herbst is busy these days but you don't have to come into work every single day for your character to start a relationship. lol.
