I agree, this is the truth. Even if she had completely gotten over Nate, seeing Nate be a better boyfriend to Serena than he was for her would bring forth bitter memories for her so I don't see her ever being okay with it. I love their dynamic and it would be a shame to mess that up in my opinion.

Its part of why I can't ship them although my reasons are more rooted in thinking Nate would not help S grow as a person but rather regress.

eta: seriously if I wasn't so crazy--I would have deleted my ff account and never particiapted in another thread like ever!

Honestly, I don'T ship either NS or DS just yet. I'm all for CB. But if B is not okay with NS, I'd prefer to see DS not to create tension between CB

word, blair being okay with it in the first place is OOC and it would still be hard for her to watch and justhow they were portrayed in the pilot shows me they are not a good thing. He represents one of her biggest lows and where her life was clearly in shambles

That is a very complicated question.

If I had to say right now, it would be Nate. Partially, I admit, because of the books, but I really did enjoy them the second time around, and I think, given the proper chance in the future, they could be great together.

I don't watch the show for ships, though. I watch primarily for Blair and the friendships surrounding her character.

I don't think her not being ok with NS would have to have anything to do with her feelings for Nate, although I don't think she's completely over him and I don't really care if it says good things for CB. I just think that it would be a constant reminder that S betrayed her, and, if she was with Nate, then it wasn't just a drunken mistake that the new Serena would never do.

Shu. It took me a long time to stop just assuming every single post was a jab.

I also think that unless they show Nate has radically changed and is somehow representing a great future for her that it is a character regression for Serena.

I disagree I have plenty of ex boyfriends i have no feelings for but its not like i want to see them with my best friend

ohh most definitely we have already seen that nate symbolizes one of serenas biggest lows

But to me Nate/Serena are a different story, in my head they always loved each other, and i'm hoping they show this some way next season, because if not, then i don't see how NS can be justified... but we never agree here Lisa

Lol i actually like NB too

and i agree about the friendships, but to be honest(please don't kill me) i watch for Chuck/Nate

but that's because i'm so shallow, i only watch for the eye candy

Its not different though and we dont even know that NS has always loved eachother so u cant use that arguemnt

Word! It doesn;t mean she can have feelings for him, but its difficult to watch your bestfriend dating your ex. Now, unfortunately I am caught up in a triangle like this with OTH, and I had to endure it in 90210, I CANNOT see it again LOL!

and like i said, from the thanksgiving flashbacks it was clear NB were in love for a decent amt of time. We still dont have ne evidence about this NS true love. and if u can justify NS with "true love" than you cant say there is nethign wrong with RL the day b4 the wedding which i found horrible
