imo what dan did was no worse than how chuck sabotaged ds in 204.

I disagree, simply based on motive, endgame, and situation. I mean, DS were already broken up - the only thing Chuck did was introduce a person into Dan's life. Dan chose to go out with her, chose to take her to Serena's hangout, chose to call Serena out for being 'herself.' Yes, Chuck manipulated Serena's feelings about the situation by calling D/Amanda to her attention often, but Dan still did all the damage himself.

Plus, Chuck had evil motives and was aware his motives were evil. So it is what it is - he was being Machiavellian and villainous, and it was enjoyable (to me and few others) even as I felt bad for Serena. But Dan's motives were some kind of misguided, uninformed quest for good where he assumed that Blair and Chuck could not possibly have feelings and he was doing the right thing, which he wasn't. That infuriates me.

Nate never gets ANY kind of punishment for the crap he does. Everyone lets him walk all over them.

Yeah, I didn't blame him for that. Vanessa was the one that neglected to tell him why big bad Blair was mean to her! Dan chose his bff. He didn't owe Blair anything.

I HATED that Blair didn't say ILY, though.

But that rooftop scene and then the bedroom scene. Beautiful. My babies were so in love.

i love when peeps agree with me. I actually think that dan was a victim of ignorance. i totally blame v. cause he's not the sorta guy to sabotage two people in love. thats why serena's words got to him and he tried to undue it. if he was truly a callous dick he wouldn't have even bothered going to chuck and would have let them just stew in their own juices. he's a romantic at heart. he likes to believe the guy gets the gilr in the end. this is a boy who quoted a fairytale in the pilot.

Chuck is a loyal friend if you ask me. What he did with Blair in season 1 (while NB were broken up) aside, he's NEVER EVER betrayed his friendship with Nate. And besides in season 1, he'd only heard 10k times that Nate didn't want Blair.

Nate gets nothing to feel bad about. I mean stuff just literally falls off is shoulders and hes on to the next gf. I mean Chuck and Dan at least let the girls in their life effect them BADLY to the point you feel utterly sad for them. But for Nate its like nothing goes wrong for him for too long. He is of course the Golden Boy after all

That right there, proved to be that Blair loved Chuck so effing much. That was the episode, that proved Blair's love imo.

I don't think he can even be called a "friend"

It's pathetic really, makes me furious. The more people say he's an awesome guy, the less I see it.

I feel like he definitely has good intentions. He was just sticking up for his BFF like anyone would tbh. And this is coming from someone who doesn't even like Dan haha.

um i disagree. Dan was acting on revenge. he was trying to avenge his bff and effing with cb in the process. he knew what he was doing. he just thought the end justified the means. i totally disagree with the rest of you post
imo cd were on par. ds may have been broken up but like you said they took the measures after manipulation just like cb took the measures. chuck could have manned up after dan told him what he did but he didn't/ thats not on dan but chuck.

haha you must come around to the darkside. Dan is just too rootable imo. He's just such a good guy who occassionally effs up.
