Ok, I watched the RL Scenes and I have to say I am totally pissed ... what is this whole bull about ... why are they doing this to this man? WHY???? What he said makes every girl melting away ... she is meaning the world to him and she says no ... I don't get it, I really don't get it and I have to say: Logan deserves better, much better!!!

Oh I am so angry now I can't say it with words ...

I just love that Logan's proposal to Rory is refered to in my episode description as a REQUEST. Apparently, guys, dont propose to girls anymore. They request them -- at some future time -- to marry them. Oy. This is completely and utterly OY worthy.

I'm wondering if, when Logan sees Rory's reaction, he tells her to take some time to process it - maybe even jokes about doing a pro-con list. At least that way, it's not overly embarrassing that she doesn't answer him while all those people are looking on.

I still don't understand not doing a long engagement. My cousin and her fiance were/are in the same position. Both were to the opposite ends of the world right after graduation to do internships, then moved AGAIN to other parts of the world. Finally, both are back in town but still job hunting... This July will be 2 years since they got engaged and thus far - there are no wedding plans yet. They're waiting to settle into jobs before planning a wedding. One's a journalist and the other is a foreign policy specialist.

Heck, does anyone one do short engagements anymore? Or are just members of my family odd to all have 1+ years (most 2+ years) engagements?

I think the long engagement thing is pretty normal these days ... I don't know many people who married right away after a short engagement ... I think it could be working but maybe they turn Logan into a (total ooc) bad guy and let him issue an ultimatum like if you don't come with me now you will probably never so ...

See Sher; I think we have been ****ing duped. I think we are going to get some sort of a long-engagement. I dont know if it will come across as one. Yet, honestly, I can see all of this stuff being FOILERS to distract us from Rory being married.

Yeah, I can lay into Rory for her indecisiveness (it's freaking annoying), and damn near anything else. However, honestly, I am starting to feel as if we were all duped at the present time. I feel as if she says YES to the long engagement, he gives her the ring, then he goes off to his job in 21. It seems possible. I will keep this option open until I read about what's happening in the next episode. This could change in the future. Yet, really, I am up to us being fooled. We were duped. What? ME? Worry?

Conny two things are going to happen. Either this........or this...... The last one is more of a metaphor of Logan's heart. So roll with it. ETA: It's SPIDER-MAN WEEK ! BOOYAH! ETA: Right now on Showtime, they are showing a remake of Inherit the Wind from 1999. It's so disconcerting seeing anything else using the GG set. George C. Scott is standing in the Gaezbo, and it seems so bloody wrong. Hopefully some people dragged to see Norbit felt the same way about the way the set was being used. Right now it's a scene in the Crap Shock. Which is even more disconcerting.

Max came back from California towards the end of Season 3. I wish he was the teacher from the dream sequence.

So I wanted to see the R/L reactions for last night's episode... Hmm... Rude? I'm used to reading your comments, but Lorelai's not to blame here. You love Rory and you should know how insecure she is about her future. She has not found a job and her career goes first, we saw that in her discussion with Paris. Why would she say yes, leave for California and not concentrate on her real goals?

"No" is a normal reaction. Especially in front of so many people! So honestly, I hope they do not break-up because of that, but if they do? Don't blame it on Lorelai. She's a mother. And if Rory is influenced by her a lot of the time, I think she's able to make her own decisions. She's 22, remember?

Considering what was actually Max's last scene in GG, with Lorelai embarrasingly chasing him across a desk and him running away from her, I truly do hope the writers don't emulate that, should Logan ever return.

As long as Rory has her mom around her, she doesn’t exactly behave like a 22 year old. It’s because of Lorelai’s mothering that Rory is the way she is, so it all falls back to Lorelai. Lorelai can’t live without Rory near by her side so she made sure Rory depends on her a lot and I’m afraid that won’t change anytime soon. So poor Logan, for assuming he could have a life with Rory without Lorelai being a part 24/7 of it.

You actually think so? She only went back to Lorelai to get a comfort zone. She's lost at the moment, like she was in 5.22 (where she didn't even go to Lorelai, but to E/R!). Lorelai was not protective of her daughter; she only wanted what was best for her, pushed her towards taking risks. How can you blame a child for following in on her mother's footstep in insecurities in love, for example? Lorelai told her she did not want Rory to be like her in 1.20, if I remember correctly.

It's a lot of pressure, getting out of college and all, especially when you have no clue where you're going! I had trouble finding a summer job... a summer job! I got an interview today, but totally blew off my boyfriend when he proposed to do a trip during the summer. Why? Because I need to know where i'm headed before making decisions like that... and mind you; mine is not life-altering, contrary to Rory.

Btw: your comments being rude refers to TheJSW only, not to the entire board. Didn't want to be taken out of context here.

true. it's one thing to have close relationship with your parents. i directly don't blame lorelai for rory's problems. but i do believe that rory is the way she is because of lorelai. i would like to see her branch out of her mother's wings.
