this was bull****....hulloooo...lorelai---get over yourself for once....i hated hated hated her face at the end. all i could picture her saying in her head was "what about me?"....selfish selfish selfish.

i do feel like we're missing a HUGE chunk of the picture for the end of the season though too many weird blatantly positive parallels for r/l to NOT end up together. So that's the moral of the story of the GILMORE GIRLS...everyone in gg-universe ends the season together and making forward progress except for the strongest couple on the show? whatev.

I keep having this recurring vision in my head of the end of the movie TRUMAN SHOW where Jim Carey's character is no longer followed and everyone who has been so atuned to the show from the beginning just casually gets up and has a "well that was the end" kind of moment ---- I'm so beyond over the crazy bs that this show has become that my reaction will likely be the same. I'll always love r/l and continue my interest via fanfiction.

No Matt. No NOLA....that is my mantra of the moment!

We have just witnessed the power that is Gilmore. Who else could turn around a reckless, rakish, rebellious little rich boy into a responsible, polite, mature grown man? And who else could make a rough, hardened, jaded tough-guy tear up over a love song? Yep, those are our girls! So Logan is going to ask Rory to marry him! And he actually went to Lorelai’s house to ask her permission. Now, usually I would write this off as one of his typical smooth moves. But you know what? He had me at “I came here to see you, Lorelai.” This wasn’t just some old-fashioned formality. He really, really wanted her approval. And he thought he’d get it. After all, they’d just bonded over late-night pie and ice cream. She told him she believed he had cleaned up his act, that he didn’t need to convince her anymore.

Lorelai's support in Rory's court hearing was awesome too...

Anyway, funny was also Lorelai and Christopher (of all people) comments "not here" and "not now" about Logan's proposal. Maybe they thought RL should elope and not invite them nor anyone else?

(Can't wait til someone uses the term "zen".)
