I guess we'll see. I must say the way Logan was depicted in 7.18 did give me some hope (as well as the "maze" scene later on). Ultimately, it may be proven foolish and foolhardy that I felt that, but I did. I suspect that's the way he'll come across in his "conversation" with Lorelai in 7.20. As for next year, well, dunno, but Matt did say, in his last two interviews, that the way Rory and Logan would finish up the season would depend on whether this was a series or season finale (and he actually used those words.) Whether he knew what the Logan storyline would be is in question, but he did say that "It will be interesting to see how the fans react to it".

My thoughts exactly; it's completely blah, whether it is a season finale or a series finale.
That's what happens when you get rid of Logan, it all just becomes blah.

Very blah. It would be intresting to see fans who don't like Logan want Logan to come back because they are so bored of a S8 plot without him if DR decides no Logan in S8.

We've discussed the spoilers we have to death. The rest is just bitterness and depression. It gets old.

It's getting old because no one is telling us ANYTHING. If they announced a season eight with everyone returning. The mood in here would change. However, again, I think we are getting the JJ treatment this year. We get screwed over. This is what happens because Rory is not a fighter. She needs to get some fight in her. If she gets some fight. This will be better for the both of them.

Hearty, Ron is a fella that knows things. He stated back in March, that the show had been picked up for a season eight. So, I am still going with him being right, and a season eight being a forgone conclusion for a couple of months. All they have been doing is haggling about the price.
Thank you Jason ... and please call me Conny (if you want)

The episode description doesn't surpise me ... was there one which satisfied us? I can't remember and I stopped trusting them long ago ... so even if Logan is not mentioned there and it sounds all "happy" for Rory I am not upset because I remember epi 5 and 8 ( when I was worried because first of Bobby and then because of a moving out Rory and everything went fine) ... so, I am not worried because od this description ...

Exactly ... and so it's time to let her fight ... it can't be the message: "See when you dump the love of your life you will get your dream job" ... oh geez ... I am a psychologist and I have to say: Kids, don't believe what this old man DR says ...

Just saw the ep, well as nice as the LL stuff was, love ranting Luke, I missed E/R and Logan as well. Completely forgot about the dollhouse, at least they could have mentioned why it means so much for Lorelai (and Emily too).

About Rory, I don’t know what to think, I always have in mind that she’ll reject Logan’s proposal and break up with him, I don’t get it. Well, not accepting immediately would be alright if they stayed together and Rory would at least consider getting married sometime in the future, but the way it sounds it’s almost as if Logan would behave like “now or never”, like Lorelai demanded from Luke, but I can’t believe Logan would react this way, there has to be something more. I don’t know if it’s her talk with Lorelai that leads to Rory’s decision to say no to Logan or if there might be something else as way. All I know is that Rory should ask Emily for advice and certainly not her mother. If Rory wants so desperately to be independent and grown up she should stop depending on her mother first.

I’m glad that E/R will be at Rory’s far well party in SH, but with no Logan there it sucks. Just as I don’t like the fact that the last scene will only be with LL and Rory.

Ruining Rory’s graduation with R/L’s break up is almost as bad as running Wedding Bell Blues with Lorelai’s comment to Emily. I guess it’s still all about the sweet and sour, but lately everything only leaves a bitter taste.

But again, maybe I should add this as a disclaimer the option that DR choose on how to end this Season sucks big time ... even though I do think things will lighten up in the next Season. And one thing I must add, I have always had a slight Issue (I think bigger that slight ...) with Rory never being the convincing one in this relationship and it always being Logan to make her realise things also about them together and all. I might actually enjoy Rory being the one to have to convince him that she wants another chance. And the way Logan has been portrayed, which I believe is very very positive, I do feel that is exactly where the writers are heading. He is the great guy, totally committed to her, The One and all ... and she lets him walk. The audience, or I believe many of them, will think WTH is Rory doing and will want her to be the one going after him for a change in Season 8 ...
I couldn't agree more, ever since at least BIAG Logan has been the one fighting for the relationship. I don't think its possible at this point for Logan to come off looking like the bad guy. Rory should learn from Paris, she was miserable when broken up with Doyle.

I agree. And, as a JJ, I thought the writers had gotten the message about how much the LL breakup su**ed - actually for us most of this year su**ed.
Yes, we're all for angst and drama but I thought that the current plot - with Rory and Logan still together, has plenty of drama to develop.

The breakup is unnecessary.

On the other hand they way Rory was portrayed in her convo with Paris was cristal clear: she was "saying" with her own mouth that she and Logan would factor each other in, but, in fact, she had no idea how to do that.
She was clearly focusing (I'd say obsessing) with the whole NWT thing. And when Paris used her logic to show her that her job is more important than her love life she let and huge anvils fall.

This being said there could have been 1000 ways to get drama and manage the R/L thing.

I, for one, loved how Doyle decided to fight for his love without ditching is job.

Since the beginning of RL relationship, Logan has been making change after change to make himself suitable for Rory. That when, at first, she pursued him and he didn't want to start a relationship with her because he didn't see himself as "a commitment kind of guy". He did make mistakes. But it was always him who had to fight for them when things weren't ok.

When Logan had to face his responsabilities in London, he made sure to leave the apartment for Rory as a sign that they were together. When Rory decided to move out, he carried her books.

When Logan's family showed their disapproval of Rory at their house, Logan just left with her. When Rory's mother showed her disapproval of him at her house, Logan was humble enough toward her concerns and respectfully talked to her.

So now if, for whatever reason, Rory thinks she is better without Logan after he propose, I, for one, don't blame him for not waste his time fighting again for her. It's her turn to do something for her love for once.

Well, that, if DR brings back MC to te show...
