We called that one here, since no tour report mentioned Luke's presence at Rory's graduation. And I guess there was also a spoiler (I don't remember which one) saying the townies couldn't attend the ceremony or something like that.

But, thanks to Michelangelo David Rosenthal, this will be also the worse episode ever for our couple, so I don't even have an opinion about anything else that will happen there anymore...

DR ruins people's happiness and he is totally TPIDIT do it. Which is Chris's acronym of totally psyched to do it. I actually looked forward to Rory's graduation as a fun event to bring the family together, and a nice moment between R/L but DR ruined that completly thanks alot

Thanks, Wayne. I guess that's one thing that is as it should be at her graduation. As I said back ages ago, and what happens with Rory & Logan doesn't change my mind, Rory's barely interacted with Luke in 3 seasons, there's no reason he should be at her graduation. Why would she invite him? She wouldn't. I don't get why the townies are upset either, they didn't go to her Chilton one. Family goes to graduations, that's pretty much it.

I agree completly with what you say graduations are for families and signifigant others. Plus at a graduation you have a certain number of tickets

I don't think it's surprising. It's just going to be Rory's family. Her mom, dad, boyfriend and grandparents.

I don't believe tickets is the reason. It's outdoor + Logan got a lot of relatives there and Mitchum had some co workers there, but I guess they could have children at Yale.
Rory only had like tree interactions with Luke this year and didn't meet him many times in the sixth season either, plus Luke has been i a fight with her dad, twice. So it's isn't surprising to me.


ETA: They have filmed the last scenes of 7.22 now right?

I think Rory just wanted it to be for her family and Logan. Since Luke isn't Lorelai's significant other, he wasn't invited. If she invited Luke it would never end and Kirk, Taylor, and Miss Patty would end up at the ceremony.
