But here's something that struck me from the article that notout posted here:

I recall MC saying some time ago that the RL ending would depend on whether this was a series or a season ending (i.e., if it were a series ending, even Rory would have ended up happy in love). I knew I didn't want a Season 8.

I really-really hope they know the answer to a S8 before 721. I wasn't too fond of the idea of a S8, but now it seems not only are the JJ's going to need it to get closer to their middle, but the Sophies are going to need it too to fix this nonsense .
