As for the episode, Mike really liked the RL stuff. In reaction to an angry letter about how they're showing RL being together so well, yet they're going to break them up, Mike commented on how just because we know a couple's going to break up that they're final weeks together do not have to be miserable. And they all discussed how they thought Rory was crazy to turn down the job.

Yes, because that makes so much sense.

This is going to be out of nowhere. Logan's going to be just as blindsided as much as unspoiled fans will be.

And maybe I'm delusional, but with the ASP discussion from above, I can't imagine her completely ruining Rory's college graduation episode like DSR is.

At least I agree with the podcast people, since I think she should have taken the Providence Journal job, too, but that's more of the fact that I think she would have benefitted from having a female editor and the fact that they got along so well. I do like her gumption in terms of wanting to gamble on the Reston Fellowship, but I think she should be strong enough to withstand that not working out to be able to be open to all possibilities, including going to San Francisco with Logan, but apparently it seems she'll fall apart again. I'm just glad she gets a job before blowing everything off and going on vacation with Lorelai.

If Matt is not in Season 8 (if there is one although at this point I honestly hope not), I will not watch GG for the first time. I could handle a break-up if I knew in the end they would be together.

ASP come back ASAP. Save our couple STAT.

Well, to me it seems pretty obvious Logan needs to come back based on these spoilers. What is MA saying here, that he finds it obvious that is not the case? Hard to figure out, but since I on more occasions disagree with MA than agree, I am guessing he thinks Logan is out ... while I am absolutely not willing to think that is the case.

Makes me wonder, even though it is a totally different subject, but will Paris be around?

but that's the thing, it's not clear. logan can't just leave, fall off the face of the earth. all of rory's past boyfriends have always somehow made their way back to the show. beside yale, rory's storyline for the past 2.5 years has been with logan. you can't just drop something like that. you can't drop matt like he's a bad habit. especially in tv. even if rory says no to the proposal, i can't see how they can completely write logan off from the show. if they wanted them to break up, they should have used another tactic, instead of a proposal because not only is it out of character for all this sudden independence and regression for rory, it doesn't make sense storylinewise, especially considering this weeks episode. also, did they have to be that cruel for putting it in her graduation? for the writers to write a couple to be that together, invested in each other, and put through so much together, it's really hard to believe that the writers would think it's ok for logan to be completely out of rory's life. both dean and jess managed to trickle their way back into rory's life. maybe it was just ASP's like for them. but then again, i don't know what the writers are thinking. i wonder what the reaction to the cw/wb head honchos was concerning the breakup.

am i the only one who feels like whining like a baby with the fact that it seems like luke and lorelai will get their happy ending, at least for end of season 7? totally not fair. i could think of 100 reasons why i feel like rory and logan should be in their position. with the happy ending, that is.

Rory Gilmore Day is a smash, as the whole town turns out to say goodbye to Rory in GILMORE GIRLS on The CW.

The way the rift ended didn't bother me because it seemed true to life for me. Things get swept under the rug all the time, only to resurface later. I always figured ASP would bring back issues from the rift before the series ended, though. There was just too much there for her not to. I could be wrong.

That's what bugs me most about DSR. He has centered this show around Lorelai. Everything runs through Lorelai, even things that she should have no involvement in. I always felt there were two leads when ASP was in charge. There were times when one or the other was more of a focus, based on what was going on in each storyline. But it never felt like either Rory or Lorelai was an afterthought the way Rory has seemed at times this season. I don't feel like he cares about Emily and Richard either. And, considering what's about to happen, I think it's clear he thinks Logan is disposable.

And if ASP were to break them up in 721, there would have been a build up to it. We've had nothing but RL working together as a couple and tackleing all their issues as a team. Storytelling wise, DSR has been leading them towards nothing else but togetherville and so happy and in love, and all that good stuff. And how he's just pulling this out of his ass? Come on now

How unfortunate, ASP and DP created this amazing show with wonderful characters that were so full of depth and complex, and now DSR is completely ignoring what a valuable asset was handed to him.

i still get the feeling that "Rory Gilmore Day" and the title "Bon Voyage" may have a parallel to AB leaving......but I'll wait until we have confirmation on who's staying and who's going directly from the show.

This is probably just a case of see what you want to see but Rory's hair is not good in those pictures. It almost looks unwashed and her eyes are kind of squinty in one of them that makes her look tired. Also, why is she all PJed up at the inn? Maybe she is upset? Just a little? Please?
