I don’t know if this was brought over previously. If so, I apologize for being repetitive. Uscgirl from tv.com forum posted

Most of the time they shot at "yale", its really been at USC. The Yale Parents Weekend episode was all shot here. Anyways, I know for a fact now that Chris will be at Rory's graduation. How do I know this? Because I just saw them shoot it!! They shot at part where Chris, Rory, and Lorelai all stand together while Rory is in her cap and gown. Kelly Bishop was also there, but I didn't see Scott. He might show up later though, because after they filmed that family part, the director said that they were going to move on and the crew started to move to another location. They were telling the extras how to walk up and get their diplomas, so I think they might be filming the actual graduation part soon.

Can some of you JJs try to remember that this is a shipper thread? Why are there so many Lorelai apologists here? There's plenty of other places where you can discuss how much you idolize Lorelai and how she's just the bestest, most fantastic mom and person ever. I happen to think she's self-centered, controlling, obnoxious, and weak. Her character is like nails on a chalkboard to me. My own personal hell would be being forced to watch a continuous loop of Lorelai "Me, Me, Me" Gilmore in all her "quirky" glory. But I would never go to your thread and say that.

We ship Rory and Logan. We don't think it's good that they're breaking up. We don't care if there's a possibility they may be friends sometime in the distant future. All season long we've been shown how strong they were, how committed they were to each other. DSR is now retconning everything we were shown about this couple. And not only that, he's doing it in the cruelest way possible. Why a turned down proposal? That's not bittersweet, that's heart wrenching. No matter how Rory turns him down, it's still heart wrenching. I don't want to hear about how hard it was for the JJs last year. You all knew there was another season and you all knew LL would eventually be reunited. You have your happy ending. We don't have that. This manufactured ******* is the last image we'll have of our couple. If last season had been the end of the series and your final image had been Luke not jumping at Lorelai's ultimatum and Lorelai jumping into bed with Christopher would you have just said, "Oh well, Luke just wasn't ready for marriage yet. Maybe they can be friends someday." Please try to keep that in mind when you go off on your "maybe Rory's just not ready for marriage" spiel.

Forgive me, but I'm feeling particularly bitter today.

I concur. In particular with the bolded parts.

I seem to be growing angrier about this by the day...LOL. Not a normal reaction for me...I keep thinking about how I would have felt had my wife turned me down after we graduated...It's just too awful for me to contemplate how Logan will feel after being tossed aside as a "college experience".

But to be a Sophie is it a requirement we hate Lorelai?

Nah. We're just a cranky bunch. I'm a Sophie and I don't hate Lorelai. The fact that I don't hate her doesn't mean I can't see and accept she has flaws. Some bigger than others. Rory and Logan are flawed too, but I don't love them any less.

Off course not. Lorelai said Logan was irresponsible and suddenly she doesn't like how serious Rory's and Logan's relationship is, nothing strange with us liking that. But the epi description guy isn't exactly a Sophie so that doesn't need to happen in 7.18 at all.

I don't think Lorelai treats Rory as good as Lorelai seem to think though. Lorelai is very selfish and I hope that will change before the show ends.

I keep growing angrier about this too. I know it's not a rational reaction to a TV show, but there it is.

My husband proposed to me three days after I graduated from college. I asked him what he would have done if I'd said no, if he'd still want to be in a relationship with me or even be my friend. He said he'd probably never want to see my face again or even hear my name. I can't imagine Logan being anything but devastated by this. What a horrible ending for such a great character.

But at least Rory will get her happy ending. Meeting Christiane Amanpour and getting a job, free from the burdens of her college boyfriend. Yay!

Of course not. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I just think there's places better suited to singing Lorelai's praises, that's all.

See, that's exactly what any typical guy would think. What really gets me is that DSR is a guy; so he should know exactly what would go through a guy's mind at that moment, which would be some variation of: "she never really loved me".

Thanks for that, GOD! please no crap where they take a "Happy Family" picture Chris does not deserve it!

I'm amazed all the sightings and this is one of the first with Lorelai and the first with Chris and Emily, where is Luke and Richard?

I guess we know why Logan is not there, probably looking after the horses LOL

Well it wasn't anti R&L I was just wondering where is Logan?

I just hope we don't get a happy family pic with just Chris, Lorelai and Rory. Given what happen that is just wrong, I have nothing against Rory and Chris in a picture together just hot the 3 of them 'cause they are not a family.

But back on topic I wonder how much will Logan be around or is he just there for the rejection? Sorry if this sounds harsh but will he watch the ceremony or not is what I was wondering?

Logan is off course going to be there for the hole day, it's not like the ceremony will take all day but he is going to be there and I guess he proposes after the cermoney. I think he leaves right after the rejection, don't think he will hang out at Rory's party. He will likely go and pack his stuff and be gone.

Off course there are going to be pictures of Rory, Lorelai and Chris. They are Rory's family.
If you don't think so, post it somewhere else please.

Don't get me wrong I don't think they should have a Luke, Lorelai and Rory picture also, it's nothing about Chris v Luke. If C&L were still married then sure or if L&L were married then of course but now given how things ended with C&L and have we seen Chris even talk to Rory since. And I guess unless it's off screen we may not have Chris see Rory until the graduation so why should he be a part of the "family photo" now just 'cause he's here dad? Sorry but for me that is wrong.

And since this is the R&L thread I just find it interesting that apart from the proposal scene (or what ever it was) we have not seen Logan, will he be in a photo also or did he propose before the ceremony so Rory and him may not be talking or Rory needs time to think.

I can't wait to see Emily's attitude towards not only Chris and Luke but also Logan, if he is not there will she ask questions, is Rory keeping Lorelai in the loop if the proposal came before and Emily doesn't know?

Still lots of questions to be answered about the whole proposal SL.
