Well I am definetly going to watch Matt as a sexy cop if Gravity makes it next year or what ever he does cause I love seeing him on screen. The same with Alexis, LG I haven't really liked her roles out side of Lorelai.

secret, that would an interesting turn of events! However, I really don't care what Lorelai thinks about Logan. Rory should be confident enough in herself and her decisions to not care if her mother likes her boyfriend or not.

At this point, the only thing I want to hear is that Rory and Logan will okay in the end, with their romantic relationship intact.

fox, if Gravity is picked up, I will definitely tune in. I always give each new show a chance. Additionally, I will also tune into anything AB does. I'm with you on LG. She's Lorelai. I have seen her in other shows and in movies and have been underwhelmed to say the least. The character of Lorelai was made for her, and I am not confident that she can honestly transition from GG into another show or a great movie career. As for the rest, I really have nothing else to say.

sure some teenagers dont act logically and they make mistakes..but to say teenagers dont act logically its not true at all...some of the most logical people i know are teenagers
Sure okay. You got me there. But teenagers are more ruled by emotion and they don't think of the consequences (yes, I know the same can be said about adults)

Sure there are teenagers who break the mold and are quite logical and mini-adults before they are officially adults.

But from what we know (or from what I remember with my faulty memory), Lorelai was having issues with her parents. Yes they were right to be disappointed. But Richard especially wanted Lorelai to marry Chris. Lorelai rebelled. So while they were there, emotionally they probably weren't much of a help...

Especially if I remember correctly a flashback we saw, Lorelai got herself to the hospital when she went into labour.

Eventually right or wrong, she went out on her own. Reacting to the situation. Without probably thinking of the consequences.

No doubt Rory's issues come from the life she led, and Lorelai is at fault. But then I also think Rory has had a pretty good life. She may have her issues, and has a faulty track record with guys. But then both Dean and Jesse were teenage romances, and sometimes they aren't meant to last. Logan is her first true adult romance, relationship, for good or bad.

My whole point about Chris not being there as this is half the reason for the C&L SL this year, Chris knew he should have done more but Lorelai forgave him, It did not negatively impact her life 'cause she had other people to take that roll including her mother, she has a whole community looking out for her and being there when needed. I'm not about to get into a debate on the roll of a father, I have one but my nephew never has. IMO it's more than that.

For Rory it worked to have the family she had, then to get to know her grandparents when she did.

We don't know why she says no yet but I doubt her upbringing or Lorelai played a part in it.

ETA - also I don't think they will turn Logan into the "bad guy" and just hope they let him go with dignity and maybe the chance of coming back if we get S8.

Oh, I meant the characters were butchered...I totally meant that.

I was never able to get into JP or MV as actors because I found their acting to be one dimensional on GG, thus the reason I never got into Heroes and Supernatural.
While I don't watch Supernatural, I've become a huge fan of Milo. And he's gotten really big lately from Heroes. Jared, known for Supernatural. If you want to go real far, there's 'Tristan' (who played him? I forgot his name just now) who has had no problems getting into television and movies, and it's been pretty easy for me to see him as a non-Tristan. I very much liked him in that movie with Hillary Duff. In the public and media, I feel the boys did get a good start in partly thanks to Gilmore Girls...before such, the boys were relatively unknowns in Hollywood. GG got them on the map as actors. It can't just be coincidence that they all lucked out in such great tv spots pretty much after their Gilmore lives.

Oh, I totally meant the actors. That's why I suggested that Scott should have ran when he hand the chance, lol. And why I commended Milo for saying no to coming back to the show...frankly, I bet they were going to butcher Milo as they did to Marty this season . The characters, for the most part, were taken out of the show unsatisfyingly. They totally butchered Dean in his last two years of the show, and his last appearance was a total low blow from Amy. Milo was so close to being butchered (I really like how they 'redeemed' Jess off camera and brought him back looking more polished and successful, but then they made him fall at Rory's feet again and I thought...WHY!?!?!?!) Jess, I liked --but if ASP had what she wanted, I'm sure she would have 'Deaned' him.

I kind of wish Matt never reaccepts an offer to return to Gilmore Girls if it runs into future seasons. If what we know is true (that they break up, after a proposal), I wonder, if they make the break up in a bad light, would they redeem the couple in future time or would they butcher the couple? ASP seemed to me, to be more malicious. I would hope that DR doesn't think like she does.

Because I can't think why she would think him irresponsible, unless they portray Logan as not doing anything--not looking for a job, not going for interviews, not getting himself together--at the aftermath of his quitting the Huntzberger Co. Which we know is not the case, because he does get a job in SF.
I hope you're right about your spec, because otherwise it makes no sense.

Well I didn't mind how Jess came back last season, never really liked Dean out side of the first few eps in S1, he got mad too quick.

As I said before I don't think they will turn Logan into the "bad guy" and just hope they let him go with dignity and maybe the chance of coming back if we get S8.

I do believe that there was even an article written to this fact somewhere when MC was the new "Gilmore Guy"....i changed my mind here it is.

I'd also like to point out that this is the Rory and LOGAN thread -----you are now free to move about the cabin! BTW....this wasn't directed to the quote i used.

Maybe at that point in 7.18 he is still loafing around, and making no effort to do anything with himself weeks after he quit? He's got the job in SF 3 episodes later, and maybe he turns himself around in ep 19 or 20? Or maybe he's working on some crazy new business venture out west, (with Colin & Finn?) and Lorelai's worried what it'll mean for Rory, who's already uncertain about her own future?

It seems as though there has to be some reason for Lorelai to become worried, and not just her being contrary because it's Logan.

I don't know if you guys saw this over here, I didn't see it being discussed, but someone on TWOP saw them filming the proposal.

Sorry if that offends any AB lovers on here, but that's just the way she was acting at that moment; I know it's not an accurate representation of her character.
The stuff about the actors is kind of up for intepretation, but I figured I might as well bring the whole post. Just wanted to bring the proposal part over since in my observations I said I wasn't sure if he had proposed yet or if he asked while they were talking... looks like he had already proposed before the scene we saw.

I don't think this breakup has anything to do with Lorelai. It has to do with a show runner who has no idea what the hell he is doing. Let's not forget this is the same guy who brought us the oh-so-brilliant Marty/Lucy plot twist.

Hey, first time poster here. In light of the recent spoilers I've decided that I just can't stay silently seething any longer.

It just doesn't make since to me that the writers would end Rory and Logan's relationship in such an abrubt and, frankly, cruel way. Perhaps it's my boundless optimism speaking, but I seriously don't think that a man who made it to write and then produce a show as successful as Gilmore Girls can really be that stupid. He's got to have a pretty high level of intelligence to get where he's gotten. I have this tiny feeling that he's pissing us off on purpose just to throw some huge twist in the end and walk away laughing. He has to understand exactly how the majority of the fans feel about this ending and really, what better way to rev up ratings than offering giant WTF before the last episode. Because...as much as i hate what I've heard and claim to never watch another episode, I know I'll be clinging to a pillow in anticipation on Teusday night, regardless of how it ends. After eight years of love commitment for this show, I wouldn't be able to drop it like a worthless peice of ******* - I'm not Rory.

CA's appearance in the last episode is what is giving me hope that this isn't the end for Rory and Logan. We basically know that the reason she says no is because she doesn't want to be "held back" by a man (all of whom are basically the equivalent to Buddy Willward in the eyes of the Gilmore Girls.) If Logan's moving to SanFran is the reason, I'm sorry that that's just fraking ridiculous. San Francisco is one of the biggest cities in the country. Rory could start a career there in a heartbeat. The problem is, she doesn't want to, because in order to do that she would actually have to sacrifice something for someone she loves. Heaven forbid she puts any effort into a relationship. It's the man's job to grovel at her feet.

With all that being said, i think meeting her idol might have spark some serious changes in her thinking. CA is happily married with a child (children?). Yet, she still remains one of the most well known and successful broadcast journalists to this date. If there's any way to get it through her selfish spoiled skull that you CAN be succsessful with your career AND your love life, it's her. So...needless to say I'm holding out hope that an epiphany will come to her.

i don't quite believe the rumors that MC isn't going to be in the finale. It just really doesn't make since to me. i distinctly remember hearing that he was contractually set to be in the finale. Even if that wasn't true and suddenly everyone hates Logan, it's been stated many times that everyone loves Matt. It's kind of a stretch but i seriously can't see them writing him out of it... It's just a slap in the face really.

Also: In the commentary that Amy and Dan did on "You Jump I Jump, Jack" (the reminder of one of the best Rogan episodes ever is heartbreaking right now...) while talking about Logan's character, Amy said something along the lines of: This guy could end up seriously screwing her life up at the end of the fifth season and become hated or he could be the guy she ends up marrying. Trust me, I'm painfully aware that they don't run the show anylonger but DSR has mentioned that he wants to end the show along the lines of what Amy wanted. And since Logan has obviously not gone the route of a life-ruiner it makes since that she was writing them for marriage. That just leaves us to cross our fingers and hope that DSR will follow through.

All i can say is that if this show ends the way it's being perceived to, I will be crushed. My favorite couple splitting isn't even what delivers the hardest blow. It's the fact that the writers would have the gall to write a finale watched by teenaged girls all around the world, basically telling them that if they ever want to make it in life, they should just forget about love. All love does is tie you down and force you to belittle yourself for the sake of another. If that's the case, then I need to prepare myself to live in a world full of emptyness and lonely, manipulative, oppurtunists who can't be bothered bend for anyone but themselves. I'm sorry but there's a differance between a feminist and a selfish b****.

Exactly! It's such a bad message to send. I certainly consider myself a feminist. Hell, I've been called a feminazi. It certainly isn't an empowering message to send that a young woman can't have it all, or that career should trump all. It's exactly the kind of BS that a deluded man would think was what feminism is all about. But Rory was always supposed to have it all. This is such a depressing end for a character I have loved.
