Happiness Is A Sad Sophie, nice of you to get all Data on your people. A very smooth move, but he's GRINNING! Unless they are running lines. He at least is GRINNING AND SMILING! Come on! This cannot be that bad! Especially if it's a "Hey in a few days we are no longer going to be working with one another again" situation. Nevertheless, Hearty, it's not about optimism. It's about watching enough TV and MOVIES to gain some insight into how a story is supposed to go, and it makes very little sense for this story to go in this direction. I really do feel that they are setting up a GOOD WILL HUNTING SITUATION.

Completely random and OT, but I'm sure someone here knows. What episode was it where Logan went to the inn to see Lorelai? I've got that scene stuck in my head, but I can't figure out where it's from.

TPD, Lorelai told Rory about April in the same ep.

If you look at the last picture in that series above, you can see Rory standing near the big tree at the left of the frame of the photograh and can see her hoodie. In the scene with Logan it looks like she has her hoodie tied at her waist and is wearing jeans - looks like a rehearsal to me. Her hair in the photo where she is standing near the tree looks the same as her hair in the scene from Logan - from afar.

ETA: also, the person who took the picture said LG wasn't there -

Given the pathetic ending they are giving the Logan character, he probably shouldn't have made all those efforts way back then.

Honestly, since when does GG follow logical terms? It was always: one or another girl who is happy ... except at the end of season one ... that's the only way they'd gone ... at least for me ...

Inside my heart there is still a little (a very little) voice which keeps telling me there is something more there is something ... that is not the end ...

And did I hear somewhere that the girls are in a happy place at the end? Or was this imagination?

I have no idea. I do know that at first an R/L break-up was not planned, and then that changed.

Too bad, since what happened in 7.05, 7.08, 7.13 and 7.14 is totally inconsistent with what's about to happen now. If you think your guy is "the one" and you "belong to each other" and you've been with a guy for three freakin' years and you survive a long-distance relationship, you don't break-up after your fella proposes to you. Remember all that angst and love Rory felt in Partings? Where did all that love go? What a joke. What a ripoff. What a shame. Logan, as written this year, is not a guy that deserves this ending. Worse, since it is well known that one of the major dreams and illusions of us Sophies was a proposal at graduation, this little move feels like a deliberate **** you to the Sophie fans. Did they have to write up the breakup like that? With an utterly clueless Logan proposing to the woman of his dreams and getting the shaft while on bended knee? With Logan not even present on the final ep? What an utterly pathetic end to a great and interesting character.

You are so right ... I mean, even if they changed the original plan from no brak up to a brak up I think they didn't do this 2 weeks ago in a meeting ... just like "oh, no we have to break them up ... no matter what we shown till now, the answer to the question whether Logan is only the college bf is yes " ... they could do the break up earlier, they couldn't let us hope the best and crushes us like they crushed us now ... I don't know whether I'm more angry or sad
