*snort* You know my loathing for much of season 6, yet I bought them. Creature of habit and all. I really hate this spoiler.

Just because MA says they s***t in 7.21 and "go their separate ways" doesn't mean its permanent. If there is no season 8, she may have a change of heart in 7.22 or if there is a season 8, she may have a change of heart next season. I just can't believe that the series would end on a sour note.

What makes me nervous are the comments MC made several times during interviews saying he thought the girls should end the series alone, the way it began.

I am going to try to stay positive until I hear definitive news one way or another. Who knows, MA may release something tomorrow saying that Rory and Logan's storyline has been scaled back or some other lame retraction.

I recall reading somewhere that Rosenthal said there wouldn't be a time jump for the last episode. Did anybody else read that? Or am I hearing voices in my head...again... :|

It is a mutual hallucination then, because I remember that too.

And MC is not the only one who has made the "alone" comment. I read LG saying something similar at some point in the last year. But who knows when the interview was written.

Take confort in that you're also a "strong" L/L shipper. At least you'll have that.

I, on the other hand, am only a "soft" L/L shipper.

Oh well, I'll always have Baltar/(All the versions of Six). They are evil, so you know they'll triumph. (What are you expecting for the BSG ending, for the Humans to be skipping and singing Tra-la-la in Earth???). Shipping Baltar/Six has the built-in advantage in that if Caprica Six leaves him, well, he'll always have his InnerSix!

This news simply doesn't fit with what we were shown in 7.05, 7.08 and 7.13, it just doesn't. Probably the original plan was for an engagement and then it sadly devolved into this sorry state of affairs.

I think they are going to try to sell this as a happy ending for Rory. Look at how strong she is! Look at how independent she is!

The main problem I have is the timing. So far there has been nothing this season to indicate they are having doubts about their relationship. The survived a long distance romance, they've had fights that they then talked about and worked through like adults. They've been supportive of each other. If there had been some lead up I wouldn't be as annoyed, but to trash a 3 season long relationship that has been going strong just so the female can make some outdated stand about being independent (like it's somehow impossible to have a successful career and be in a relationship) is incredibly frustrating.

Just for you, I changed my icon. Of course, I like them too, so we are probably screwed.

Matt also said the stuff about "soulmate friends" with Rory.

If Logan is going to be "friends" with the woman that said no to his proposal and broke up with him, well then, he's really a sap.

do you think the writers and head honchos of the show and what not are aware that the breakup could possibly lose them some viewers? this is unlike the l/c storyline, where it was almost inevitable that the marriage wouldn't last. and no offense to rory's other love interests, they were never that committed and honestly, they were quite young, dealing with everyday teen issues. whereas rory and logan dealt with adult issues and maturing and such.

is it possible to get our thoughts together about the breakup, assuming that this is a permanent decision where mc would not be in the finale or possible season 8, over to the writers and such to let them know how big of a fanbase they're disappointing? just a thought.

It's beyond frustrating. It's infuriating. And as someone who happily juggles both career and marriage, it's also insulting. I never knew I could feel such rage about a TV show. It's so much easier with the shows I have no real investment in.

[bitter]I don't think they care. [/bitter] I can't believe I am managing to keep just a shred of hope that Jason is right, and there is something we don't know. I hate that little bit of hope. It is what killed a lot of my LL love. Ah well.

I had a feeling that when MC said that, he was trying to warn us. We just didn't want to listen to what he was trying to say.

I remember that too. For some reason, I recall him saying that there won't be a huge time skip in an article that mentioned MM's pregnancy being written in, and how we won't see Sookie have the baby this season. I could be totally wrong, though.

I think DSR is trying to disappoint his ENTIRE fanbase this season.

First he ticks off the people who were Chris fans.
Then the L&L fans by delaying their reunion and only putting them in a "good place" in the end and
Finally, breaking up Rory and Logan.

Jeez...even Paris and Doyle fans don't get by unscathed and Jackson and Sookie have a fight.

At least DSR is trying to make sure he disappoints us all.
