Well, *I* wasn't talking about how it would be different if Rory invites him as opposed to if Lorelai does. I don't think he should be there at all. The point I thought we were talking about the other day is that having Luke present will make the event more about how Luke, Lorelai and Chris act with each other than about Rory's graduation, which should be the climax of her storyline for the series and not be hijacked by her mother's horrific love life.

ETA - I doubt there will be a lot of townies at the graduation, just a small group like at Chilton.

Craig, did you call "OT" the part of your post where you mention Logan? He isn't "OT" in this thread.

Ausiello did answer a question about RL break up in the Ask Ausiello a few weeks ago. But if some want to send him e-mails asking more about Logan, Rory or RL, it could be nice.

I don't want to hear him talking about Logan, because he doesn't like him and it's more than evident in his answers. I don't need to go off on anymore unnecessary tangents.

I would ask if he has an inkling of what Rory is going to do after graduation (besides the generic, working on a newspaper we would think, duh!) Will she stay within a short, driving distance from SH? Will she leave the area? Will she end up *NOT* working for a paper? What does he think CA and she say to each other? I have Logan questions but no sense in submitting them to someone who'd probably love to see him disappear because that's the slant he'll be looking for.

I don't care if Ausiello talk or not about Logan. And it's true that he doesn't like him, but for some reason Ausiello stopped speccing (or daydreaming) about a RL break up. He openly stated that, different from CL situation, the writers want RL together in a podcast. So Ausiello's opinion about the couple sure didn't change but his tone about them has been different.

Really I doubt he knows and maybe it's just a guess that Rory asks Luke, it's logical. But since when has logic played a part in this show?

I didn't really mind NIck/Philip/Bobby the dinner in 7.05 at first was a little hard for me to watch at first because I was expecting to hate the girl but she proved to be harmless.I understood that Logan had to have collegues its his job. Olivia was okay but the storyline with those girls unneccessary. I think DR should have brought Maddie/Louise back or Rosemary or Juliet characters we know instead of making up characters for Rory. Or if he had to have new characters at least make better story lines for them

No one is saying that they are going to out shine her. That's impossible. What I am saying is that they are going to suck all the air out of the scene with all their drama and idiocy, taking away from what should be Rory's moment. I can see the writers doing this because it means drama and tension and "good, exciting" television. It would be too boring for them to have Rory's graduation be all about her and her accomplishment when the red meat of Lorelai, Chris and Luke are right there to be exploited.

Again, explain to me, how LLC being at the graduation(or wedding) sucks the wind out of Rory's day? I could see it sucking the wind for someone that disliked Rory's graduation being used as a SET PIECE for BIG GILMORE MOMENTS. However, it makes very little sense to me to conclude, that Rory will have her moment sandblasted. Due to Luke and Chris needing to be exploited.

Once again, for the 12th time, Luke and Chris need a moment between each other. Rory will have a wedding, will have a baby, will have a house-warming, will have Xmas parties, will have Thanksgivings at her house, or will spend them in the Hollow with her mother. Do you really think they can set-up a peaceful extended family future for Rory. If they leave Chris and Luke hating one another for the rest of the series? One Luke and Chris scene will not ruin the episode. Especially if it's Luke and Chris being writte to be bigger than most men would be in a similar situation.

MA: Yeah, a week. Yeah, it [Gilmore] will be coming back one week later because of the success of the PussyCat Dolls.
AC: Right, which is kind of funny, ‘cause it’s really doing better in that post-Model slot.
MA: They’re doing better in --- the second airing is doing better than the first airing, which is pretty insane.

DM: Uh, Mike, a listener named Craig, who is a hard-core Gilmore fan, he writes us almost every week, wants to know “Will Rory invite Luke to her Yale-graduation?”
MA: Oww, I’m sure she will.
AC: He came to her high school graduation.
MA: Did you see that thing that I put in the column about how Christopher and Lorelai are gonna be going to the graduation together---

AC: Is this person concerned that there is, like, gonna be a Cindy Brady situation? That there’s not enough tickets to the graduation?
DM: I think a lot of fans though, are concerned that there’s not gonna be enough time in the season to do a truly nice happy ending for Luke and Lorelai. To that point a listener named Cally, who wrote us a really sweet mail here, “In your last podcast you say ‘we might be able to picture Luke and Lorelai’s future together, and that is good’. Well, and this is in all caps, so she’s screaming: I DON’T WANT TO HAVE TO PICTURE THEM TOGETHER, I WANT TO SEE THEM IT. IF I WANTED THEM TO PICTURE THEM TOGETHER, I WOULD READ FANFICTION, WHICH I DO, BUT I WANT THIS TO HAPPEN ON THE SHOW, SO IT’S A REAL THING.
