If we move on to a season 8, with AB involved, I wouldn't be at all surprised if DR (or whomever) attempts this. It's an opportunity to put their imprint on the show and not just bat clean-up for ASP.

Good point, but you just can't have a lovely, single, young female lead on the show and not do *anything* with her romantically. It's practically expected. Without Logan, there would have to be a series of dates, or some new man -- young or otherwise -- to create a romantic aspect to Rory's story. Of course, they could always have her dating a series of men and then have Logan return to finally seal the deal OR have her dating a series of men with Logan watching on with growing displeasure until he jumps back in, but I seriously don't trust them not to write Logan out altogether ... which they might do a season 8 or not.

Because a single girl working on her career is not good TV. The network, apparently, interfered and made ASP hook LL up earlier than she intended. I think they would interfere and make DSR give Rory some sort of romantic storyline.

Seriously, after all ROSENTHAL AND ASSOCIATES, have gone out of their way this us this year to show how strong Rory and Logan are as a couple. Yes; it has not been the most consistent writing in terms of the obstacles they have used to show they ENDUERE. However, how in the blue hell are they screwed in the next four episodes? None of this END OF IT ALL specing makes very little sense in terms of what we have seen! If they were shown to be a couple of knuckledraggers then all of this FEAR AND LOATHING IN STARS HOLLOW would maybe have a point.

Oh yeah, I forgot, the Lucy Van Pelt Society for Online Gambling, Messages Boards, and Downtrodden Speculation, feel almost in unison, that Rory has had absolutely nothing going on this past season. Good grief...again. Nevertheless, the evidence, like most things with this season, is not adding up. Now, please, will one of you hold that football for me? I need to kick it.

ETA: Spikette said; "Everyone watches the show from their own point of view and that will shape their opinion." Yeah...this causes more problems than ducks carrying hand grenades.

I think Logan is Rory's last boyfriend. I think it would be too late to bring a new love interest in the mittle of the eight season. I don't think the possible new guy would get many fans.

Christine, as I said, I don't expect RL to break up this season. It would be more organic, given their story, to have them engaged than broken up in one of the final 5 episodes. But I don't agree that the Network would forbid DR to have Rory single for several episodes. They interfered in season 4 because ASP had the two lead characters single, so the show lack romance. And although they made ASP hook LL up, I don't think it was their idea to hook Dean and Rory up again too.
