I actually think the population is around 10,000, technically. Obviously ASP didn't know how large that is. It feels like a town of about 1,000, maybe. Going to see if I can find a cap.

The LL thread has the map.

yeah you shouldn't think to much of it's likely or not with this show, I was just trying to figure out how much work load it would be for Rory if she worked at the SHG.

And DR wouldn't need to do this off screen, if he wanted. I read somewhere that the scenes in the Republic of Congo showed on E.R. were shot at the YWCA of Honolulu.
If they can handle New Haven and New York, they can handle anywhere ... so to speak. This is the magic of television after all. Didn't we have scenes "in Italy" in early season 5.

The NY set could be fixed easy. It's the interesting new characters around Rory and Logan at their jobs that I think would be tougher for DR. Oliva and Lucy seams to be gone and so does Marty that was suppose to come and go through the hole season. (Maybe we will see them at the graduation again. ) and Nick/Phillip/Bobby was boring as hell. Once I almost had to Sookie a Logan scene with them.

I agree. I think that would be a big problem in Rory's story if there was a season 8. DR and co have not proven themselves able to create new characters that will hook us. I agree about Nick/Phillip/Bobby. There was nothing there. They were dull. Although that could be because DR has no interest in developing Logan's storyline when Rory isn't there. Olivia was fine but barely there, and I didn't have a huge problem with Lucy, but a lot of people thought she was annoying. None of the new characters this year drew me in like ASPs characters have always tended to.

I'm note sure if Nick/Phillip/Bobby were dull or if their quotes/scenes were dull. For instance, during Rory and Logan's scene in Farewell My Pet, where Rory was going on with "maybe it's human nature", "I'm a monster" and "maybe we don't want to be happy", I kept thinking that those were some of the worse quotes I ever heard in a TV show. And that because I love Rory and Logan.

The boring Marty from seasons 4 and 5 was more entertaining to watch than the new Marty. So the problem wasn't exactly him, but what was written for him.

I think Mr palladino could have done something greater.

Can you imagine how funny it could have been to see Logan, Finn and Colin in Las Vegas.
Then Logan could have made a sweet phone call to Rory. then it wold have been ok with a phone call scene.

ETA: A boring Marty was more entertainingly than the season 7 Marty, well put. That's somewhat bizarre.

EXACTLY. That's why I was absolutely underwhelmed with the idea of a season 8, particularly with Rory and Logan broken up. The thought of DR and Co. being responsible for creating a new love interest, and especially, THE love interest for Rory left me less than excited. To me, Logan is canon because ASP and DP created him and put their seal of approval on him, while any new suitor is nothing more than a pretender. *So,* leaving aside having to create compelling, funny, and interesting work colleagues, the thought of the even heavier responsibility of creating someone even more important to Rory's story was a huge, huge turn-off, and I'd rather see nothing at all, thank you, very much.

Do you really think DR would break Logan and Rory up and create "the" love interest for Rory? I'm honestly asking. I didn't know people felt that way.

But did you ever think that DR would put that much thought on Rory in order to create a new regular character just to be her love interest??? He almost didn't use Olivia and Lucy. He got ride of the entire staff of the YDN after French Twist. And there is a spoiler saying that he probably will write Doyle off.

If RL break up (something I don't think will happen) and there is a season 8 with AB (which I don't expect either) under DR regime, Rory will be single until the end of the season.

If there's an S8, Alexis is on board, and Matt's not then he would have to (The first two I find very unlikely so the third is kind of irrelevant). He can't bring back any past love interests unless Supernatural is cancelled, and even then bringing back Dean for try number four would be the worst idea ever. So with no fallback he would have to create the guy unless he had a placeholder love interest for the season and then brought Matt or Milo (I shudder to think) back for one episode to be the one. Which is why I'm out if Matt is even if Alexis does come back.

I don't agree that she would be single the entire time, Andrea. I don't think the network would allow it.

Considering we've been told by every tour guide, not just the one that said S8 was a go, that everyone but ______ (insert Alexis or Lauren and Alexis here) was a go, then I would assume that includes Matt.

So I think we are worrying over nothing.
