When her grandparents give her another Yale men party or a party with eligible rich men, and there will be no Logan to rescue she will miss him. When someone in her family has a another health crisis she will miss him.
For some strange reason I love to think up alternate endings to storylines I don't like and really try to make them believable. I just do, I like the feeling of power I get over the writers.

And I think this is actually a really plausible scenario regarding Rory and Logan. In 7.21 Emily definitely thought Rory should accept Logan's proposal. And she would probably keep tabs on the Huntzbergers and Logan.

Besides, why shouldn't Logan and Rory meet again after a few years and get back together? They didn't hurt each other anywhere close to the way other couples on this show have hurt each other. Someday Rory may feel more confident in committing to a relationship and more able to separate from her mom. Because I don't think Rory broke up with Logan because she wanted to be independent, really. She was scared of commitment.

I don't think they wanted MC for the eigth season.

With a season with only 8 or 13 episode, ROry and Logan being broken up, Logan living in another city and the show mostly focusing on LL in SH + the CW wanted MC for apperances on Gossip girls and on Gravity so I don't see that MC would have been in the eigth season or atleat not for much since there don't seam to be much time for that.

as much as it sucks to admit it, i agree. i don't think matt would have been on board for season 8. if there was a season 8 and rory and logan had stayed together, i think there would have been really good story lines. but it seems like the writers don't know what a good thing is even if it bites them in the ass.

I don't know I think they might have had Rory single and had her have bad first dates, like Trevor in S4 and then maybe on the last episode bring one of her ex boyfriends

Well, at least it is gratifying to know that many people agree that the writers botched the story up badly at the end. Heck, even Ausiello, never a R/L fan, thought the R/L ending was poorly written, lame, and inadequate. Also glad to see that we're not alone in our upset feelings about Matt not being in the finale.

That was the first Ausiello podcast I'd ever listened to. Interesting - the one letter from someone in Michigan about the Loreleis being forever ruined in his eyes, that pretty much is how I feel.

But to George's point, there is fanfiction. Logan will get his happy ending yet.

The ending with them just feels wrong, the writers put three years into the relationship and a lot recently. And now Logan is just written off like that?

I'm worried I'm not going to like the series finale at all.

knoxnews

there's also a promo pic from season 5 of rory/logan with the following caption: Better days: Alexis Bledel and Matt Czuchry played opposite each other on "Gilmore Girls" before her character, Rory, gave his character, Logan, the brush-off.
Thanks for posting that, and I agree not a nice way to end a character, especially when we don't have S8.

As for the podcast, well what can you say, they didn't like it and as this thread shows a LOT of fans don't. With DS/LG it will be interesting to find out is they are still dating or it was just a misinterpretation of what Lauren said given how the season went.

I really want Logan to be in the finale even if its just to hang up the phone when Rory if Rory called him for closure. Her boyfriends have always been in the finales. S1 Dean and love interest Tristan
S2 Dean and jess
S3 Jess
S4 Dean
S5 Logan
S6 Logan
Now no Logan like he wasen't an important part of her life for three years. Like he wasen't a strong and wonderful character who could stand on his own.

It's a shame that Logan will not appear in the finale ... at least a short scene isn't too much to ask for ... he deserves it so much ... but hey, DR wrote the last episode ... what diud we expect? that he finally is a human being?

Thanks Graig ...

Don't hit me but I do not think that she looked relieved as he walked away *holding hands over my head* ... not crushed that's true but also not relieved ... I would say she looked shocked because I think she didn't imagine that he could walk away from her ...

I actually think that Veronica Mars' Rob Thomas and DR should start a reality series on How Good Shows go Bad (or How Many Ways Can We Destroy Logan).
LMAO. I just laughed outloud at that.

Thanks for coming into the Rory and Logan thread posting that after Logan walks away from her, Rory looks "maybe a little relieved".
