I know. Me too. Last night episode had me all misty-eyed a couple of times. One of these moments was the Coach/Tim scene. Definitely one of my faves of the episode. It was so great to see THAT happy smile on their faces when they saw each other, awww! Loved their little exchange, too!
Another moment that kinda caught me off-guard and truly hit me was Luke's reaction when Tami told him that they discovered the "lie" and he needed to move to East Dillon. Great scene! and I think that the rain and dark sky added something more as well! I don't know, it was a nice touch.
Like having Luke taking off his blue Dillon shirt and burning it down next to the red dirty jerseys of his new teammates. I adored the whole scene. Coach Taylor blew me away time and time again in this episode. I love his dedication to the team and humility in front of his players, I love how he talks to them and manages to instill in them a sense of inspiration, confidence and ambition.
The ending scene with Tami and Eric sitting on the couch and talking about each other's day was LOVE. I adore this couple. They are one of the most realistic married couple I've ever seen on TV. That's why I think that their heated exchange in the kitchen was great to see. Kudos to Kyle and Connie!
Tami rocked my world! Loved how she stood up to McCoy. Go, Tami! *claps* You'll always have my support! Loved her little hug with Julie, too! awwz! No much Julie, though. But her scene with Matt in the car was adorable <3

Yeah, i'm not getting the Luke is cocky and Tim v2 either. He seems more like Matt to me with how nice and polite he was to Coach Taylor and Tami. And crying and begging Tami and then apologising for decieving her doesn't really say badass to me, but i thought it was really touching. I felt for him there even if i do hate the Panthers now. He might start to turn next episode though.

The new girl doesn't bug me too much, i think she'd appeal more to me bouncing off another character though. I'm just not really vibing with her and Tim right now. And that's not because i 'ship' him with someone else because i'm not a Tim/Lyla fan either.

I loved the Tim/Coach scene so effing much. Although i was kind of suprised Coach didn't really react to much to the knowledge that Tim had dropped out of college after he was so passionate at getting Smash to college, although maybe it's just that he knows Tim well enough for it not to suprise him. Like he knew Tim never really wanted to leave Dillon. It was still the moment of the episode for me, i had to smile at it. Well, that and Tami owning McCoy at the meeting. I wasn't as wrapped up in this episode as i was last though, i miss the Panthers not being asshats and Tim and Matt being football players.

"We knew this show was about the world of high school football and how it affects everyone's lives" in the small town of Dillon, Texas. "So, yeah, people graduate from high school and move on."

At the end of the third season, he opted to stay in Dillon following graduation because his ailing grandmother needed him. Making that decision meant Matt had to settle for a small local community art school instead of a more prestigious one in Chicago that wanted him.

"Matt is not your typical high school typical quarterback," Gilford says. "He's a kid who has a lot of pressure on him, not just because he is a quarterback but because of his home life, too."

Gilford will be seen on the first six episodes of the fourth season (now playing at 9 p.m. Wednesdays on DirecTV and coming in summer of 2010 on NBC). Near the end of "Light's" 13-episode run, he'll come back three more times.

"Matt doesn't ever say, 'Oh, poor me!' " Gilford says. "He's always, like, 'Well, this is my life.'"

The same could be said of Gilford. Now leaving his first major acting role, he's moving back into the world of auditions and uncertainty. But he's not crying foul.

"Post Grad," a romantic comedy, came out in September. In November, he'll star in the drama "Dare," about life at a prep school full of secrets.

"I'll miss playing Matt, but I'll also miss working on the show," he says. "It doesn't feel like a job. I'll be missing that part of the world.

"Matt gets it. He gets that there is a bigger world outside of Dillon ... and I'm ready to be part of that."

I hear you, but sometimes I can't help but think that the writers are lazy when it comes to give Julie a storyline.

please, the females get the shaft in terms of sl's on this show all the time. it's happened with lyla and tyra alike. unless it has to do with a relationship, they get nada.

I'm disappionted that Julie doesn't have a storyline of her own so far, even since last season. I hope things change later.

I'm glad that after those 6 episodes of Zach, he will come back for another 3, which makes me curious as to what will make him leave, and what will make him come back later for those 3 eps.

I disagree about Lyla and Tyra though. Tyra had many storylines, espcially in S3 when she was with Landry, and in S2 she and Landry were tied to one storyline. Neither got shafted. In S1 she had some too. Lyla didn't have much going on in the begining of S3 with Tim, but later had her college problems. The same with Jason, at first she didn't have much but then her parents divorce was about her. In S2, she had her religious storyline. Much like Tim, in S3 he was nothing but a props to most of the characters, and didn't have a storyline focusing on him, except in an episode or two. Even less than Tyra and Lyla.

this is sooooo true.. at least Tami gets her own Sl's being the principal...
