The similarity I see is how Madison and Adrianne looked a lot alike when Adrianne's hair was short and too curly, like in early S3. Oh, and that Tyra & Becky have a missing parent, and the present one is a mess. But even Angela got better as the seasons progressed. Other than that, I don't see much similarities between them.

When you are missing Tyra, then something is really wrong.

Le sigh. So not looking forward to this.
maybe he needs to hit rock bottom.. and maybe this is it??

and ita.. I think most TL fans understand that lyla isn't coming back this season for good. I think we just want some closure and to see Tim be happy.. which he clearly isn't right now.

And I have said before, if the woman wasn't as annoying as Becky I would be open to him with someone else.

why would tim have to hit rock bottom? he isn't doing anything that requires an epiphany.

Well, he does kinda need to find something to do with his life, to grow up and take care of himself. I doubt they're going to leave him in his current state permanently.

imo he is acting lost.. he didn't have a place to live, his job isn't the dream job right now that he thought it would be, he def isn't getting paid for working and he isn't playing football anymore, yes he is coaching, but I don't think life is what he thought it was going to be coming home.

I honestly think he thought he would move home and him and his brother would be " drinking beer all day and working on cars". Not exactly

i'm still failing to see how tim struggling in life implies him needing to hit "rock bottom" to find himself or whatever. besides, it's not like his current state isn't an accurate portrayal of other small town boys just out of high school. look at eric's life. he's perfectly fine with a wife and kids and coaching. will there be a point he'll have to find something bigger or better to fulfill his life? probably not. yet no one judges him for his decisions. it's like people think some can't be happy with the simplicity life has to offer, which is what tim has always been about. sure, things aren't exactly how he wanted them to be, but he's trying. that must account for something!

that is why I put imo.. In my opinion.. we all have them. I don't think tim and eric have anything in common right now except where they live and football.

And eric has a job that pays him.. and wife and daughters he comes home to and I don't see him at the bars at night. so if we are comparing apples for apples here then there isn't a comparison. Eric has made something of his life not with wealth and stature, but love and family. He is also much older than Tim.

I wasn't insinuating that tim needs to be a big wealthy bigshot or live in a big city , just want him to want more for his life such as love and a family of his own and sometimes losing it all makes you realize this... and yes I know he is 19..

and this is a tv show.. so i was speculating.

i know what imo stands for, and if you're going to post your opinion, i can certainly post mine. i mean, isn't that the point of a discussion thread?

and tim and eric are alike in that they both have a small town mentality. i'd say tim would be happy coaching hs football down the road, which is also where my comparison stems from. i mean, just because tim isn't in college or conquering the world in some idealistic way, doesn't mean he's lost and unhappy. he's making do with what he's got, which is a success in itself. after all, this is tim we're talking about here.

and really, eric's life isn't that pretty. even the school principal told him, start winning or you're fired. and just this past ep he was at a bar getting slammed, so even eric has his setbacks.

Eric and Tim are comparable in that they're both starting over from scratch. But Coach is a grown man with a lifetime of experience at his disposal whereas Tim is a kid now starting out. They could be really useful to one another if the current storyline continues to play out the way it is.

even with a lifetime of experience, what has that offered coach? nada! he still has to supply five grand out of his own pocket for his new team that has to win or he'll be out of a job. it's like you can live a thousand lifetimes and know it all, but still be left with nothing.

But Coach has a motivating factor in his life. His family. Tim doesn't have any of that. I don't think he even knows what he wants to do with himself.

i'd say tim has coach. i mean, you can see how anytime anyone seeks him out as if he's still some huge football star, he avoids it completely, but i feel like he's still searching for something greater within his life by helping coach. why they don't kill becky off and focus on this is beyond me!
