Grant said Barry/Caitlin feels romantic at times but that was after he was asked a leading question about something more happening between the two. He added that for Barry, the relationship is platonic right now. So basically, he gave a diplomatic response.

Honestly, I don't take what the actors say as gospel one way or another. It's nice to hear Grant say Iris is the love of Barry's life but I didn't need him to tell me that. lol

Another possible theory, if they're going by the New 52 and want to throw everyone off completely -- is Iris's career-criminal brother, Daniel (there's been a few Reverse Flashes in the history of the comics). I'm sure they could think of a good reason he hasn't been around (maybe he was in Juvi when he was a kid, then prison when he was older, or something like that.)

I don't know, the show focus a lot on family so the fact they didn't meantion Iris brother make me think she doesn't have one on the shpw. It would be weird to introduce such an important character out of the blue. But maybe Iris and Joe know nothing about him ?
