I was talking about The Flash exploring The Multiverse in season two and would people like to see other DC properties crossover with the show. Like Smallville or the original Flash show. That somehow turned into a conversation about Green Arrow.

I think the finale was great! I know people were sad about Eddie, but I was smiling (I love RC tonnes) but it was so fitting ultimately, I dunno...

I think the slow progression of Barry and Iris is perfect! I know sometimes people want like now or yesterday lol. But it's so smart! Season 2 will be single Iris! Time for us to have her POV, watch her grow and see her being in love with Barry in an obvious way as the season progresses. (Mourning and singledom first though).

Barry will focus on being a hero, his Dad, feeling guilty about Eddie. I keep going back on forth on if they will make him date someone. Barry's love Iris forever that much is obvious, any relationship would be fleeting. So for that reason since they already did that in S1, I don't think they'll bother again really. Barry and Iris partnership/friendship on the romance front with them, especially now she's in the loop! We'll have that fun Clark and Lois dynamic.

I think Ronnie and Caitlin will handle the romance aspect, along with Joe (heard he might get a lady) and Cisco! The Raymonds should be fun! Ronnie wanting to learn more, develop his powers and Caitlin worrying. It would be great to see the things about them we discussed in S1. Fire and Ice! Like in 1x13 when he was kissing her when she was trying to examine him. Robbie Amell is just hubba bubba!

Then Caitlin turning a little chilly slowly! I can't wait for her to be a full villain and Ronnie is the only one who can really HEAT her up.

I'm sure Cisco will be examining his potential meta abilities and be haunted by RF.

I wonder who RF will try get to in S2, it could be Caitlin and he contributes to her being Killer Frost.

Then Iris being a kickass reporter and potentially having Wally West and/or Mama West be introduced!

I really love the show! They are basically following Geoff's Flash Rebirth and it's working wonders!! I gotta read up on Firestorm comics though because I love Ronnie!

i like your thoughts! i hope you're right about them not giving Barry another pointless love interest. that's a good idea, give romance instead to other people, like Caitlin and Ronnie, Joe and even Cisco while Barry/Iris stay best friends for the time being (at least the first half, then they can hopefully get together in the second half)

i'd like to see them being best friends again like they were supposed to be before the pilot. that'd be good and then we can see them falling in love (or i guess her with him, since we already know how he feels).

i see that some people can't believe they would marry Caitlin off so fast, but I can see it. she's a supporting character, and they married Diggle off on Arrow. plus, with RA probably joining the cast next year (i'm assuming he's going to take RC's place), they can do their whole KF/Firestorm story.

Thanks and I agree about Barry and Iris! Seeing that best friend aspect of them, watching them be partners, Iris the reporter, Barry the CI, alongside all the Flash stuff! Having the truth out allows for some much more for these two.

With regards to Caitlin, unnecessary love interests being introduced for every single character, this isn't Pretty Little Liars. I think it's smart how they have handled her and Ronnie. I think they need to focus on her becoming Killer Frost. That's the real compelling story and since Firestorm is so interconnected to it their adaptation of them being in love and married fits perfectly. And fits Ronnie in perfectly! We barely saw them in S1, so it will be great to go deeper and explore that.

Yeah that's why Eddie's death wasn't a bummer for me. They don't need to have that squeeze with the screentime trying to fit everyone in. Ronnie can easily step in and be established as a character.

Both Justin and Stephen are good for the characters they play. Their Oliver's are very different and both are perfect for the role.

i'd also like to see Barry doing his actual CI job next season, at least some of the time. that goes along with them remembering that he's supposed to be a science genius himself

Diggle is an older character. Caitlin is in her 20s. Those are two very different circumstances. This is a CW show. CW shows love "shipping" and partner changes over the course of the series. I don't see Flash being the exception.

Firestorm is heading over to Legends so I don't see any KF/Firestorm story happening. JMO, but I think Jay Jackson will be taking Ronnies place as the other half of Firestorm.

I really don't think Ronnie adds much to the group of characters. The show has too many males as is with only two female regulars. And if Ronnie isn't Firestorm anymore since Firestorm is off on Legends, I don't think Ronnie brings much to the table for the show. JMO.

I kinda wish they made Iris a television reporter like they did in the cartoon Young Justice. A newspaper reporter kinda makes her too much like Lois Lane.

this doesn't mean every single show has to follow the same pattern. i don't think these particular writers, on both Arrow and Flash, are all that good at relationship drama anyway. it always feels forced.

i think they would benefit from being able to write solid couples and just do the show without having to worry about romantic back and forth.
