| Yeah, I've read all three books. The third one was a little weird, but still good. Really funny. But they deviated the plot lines after the first book, so I don't think they'll go there. The plot from the second book was pretty messed up, so I don't seem them doing it on TV quite yet. | from TVGUIDE: Jimmy Smits Joins Dexter It says he will play an ADA that will join forces with Dex. He will appear in 10 of the 12 eps of season three. | So, I absolutely don't want to be spoiled for Dexter, but I saw this thread and about had a SQUEE-attack! I can't wait for it to come back this fall...it is, by far, my favorite TV show. Ever. Well...except for How I Met Your Mother. But they're totally different! Anyway, awesome to see some Dex around these parts! ETA: I've read all three novels as well and I actually really disliked the third one. I kind of pretend like I didn't ever read it because it felt so un-Dexter-like. The supernatural stuff was just strange. | There is a POLL about them?  SHOW ME!!! And yeah, Brian/Rudy scenes totally killed me. They could've kept him and let Brian try and teach Rudy the code or something.
