Who is -us-?
I'm saying I don't mean the sub-Wikis (anything dealing with fandoms like the Degrassi Wiki are a subgenre and they're not even close to being the original other than the name and how the site works). I avoid fandom wikis because of idiots (and people delving into talking about other shows not even related to Degrassi). I use Tumblr for porn + Degrassi + Korean pop.

I'm still trying to figure out what the hell Zoe is doing in the next episode promo. It's not a spoiler...but there's not really any other spoiler news, eh.

I cant' imagine my life without you. I don't care. isn't there another quote she said? they look so miserable together now (eclare) and to think I used to think eclare was good together, boy was I wrong. I will always have a spot in my heart for early eclare though, now it's just a mess. they're saying things that don't make sense anymore. they make no sense anymore. and we cant' blame drew for all this. he is not the one who cheated on clare and never said sorry. this show is starting to be less addictive imo. it used to be I cant wait for an episode. I'm wondering how many more seasons before this finally gets cancelled.

Porn addiction is a very serious matter and would be very interesting for Degrassi to tackle. Hunter is 14 I believe and that's the age I started porn watching and many other "artificial stimulation" be it erotica, fetishes, etc. I'm 21 nowadays and currently trying to reboot - rewire my brain after years of porn abuse. Hunters character is perfect to at least dive in to explore the very real dangerous and effects internet abuse and a world of fantasy can have on your brain.

I'm 26 (and a female + started earlier than that so I worry about my younger relatives falling into that). I don't think I have any -addiction-. Probably more addicted to playing those games on Facebook, lol. Plus keeping up with EXO and BTS.

It would fit Hunter. I do wish they'd have a storyline where a girl gets addicted to porn, though. It does happen and it'd be less of a one-gender issue if they presented a girl as the victim of the porn addiction. The last porn mention we had was Eli's weird-ass roommate masturbating to a porno on his laptop.

The 'disturbing' word being used for the summary, though, makes me think it's something more than just 'run-of-the-mill' porn and it's probably even darker than that. What if it's about gore? Though part of me thinks that with how the minds of the writers work, it'll be about 'misogyny'. Sigh.

I think that was our second masturbation reference on Degrassi (first being Clare and Spike's vibrator...), and out of all the puberty/sex topics they've covered, I'm surprised Degrassi never really tackled that a lot. Not that I want to SEE it but they're all teenagers growing up and it's pretty common.

Porn addiction would be a good topic to tackle. Also, a lot of these young guys are taking their...cues from porn and thinking all women act like the women in porn and want the same things done to them...I think Degrassi would be awesome if they tackled everything that came with that. The anime porn thing is also a good topic, against a lot of men can't even get off to real women anymore because they look at all the hentai and it's completely sad, see 2D Dating.

And if you must know, Ryona is basically violence against women....as a fetish (there is GyakuRyona, which is gay ryona but not as nearly as prevalent). Like not bleeding because that's guro but beaten up and bruised. You'll see a lot of fighting game videos staring one chick just getting thrashed and it's labeled as ryona. I figured me telling you is better than you looking it up.

I always laugh (I'm sorry...just the idea that you can't -get off- because of anime is - as you said - sad) whenever I hear about the whole '3D' (real life) vs. '2D' (anime/animation of any kind) whenever there's discussions online and guys can't feel attracted to real women anymore. That's part of why Japan has issues with people not having children as much as before. It reminds me of the pandas in the enclosures that need to watch porn to get inspired again to make babies (because pandas are near extinct).
There's a term online called '3DPD' for '3D Pig Disgusting'. I don't know how much I should put into that but seeing how the fertility rate in Japan is dropping, it may actually be a real mindset. The non-Japanese people seem more like trolls repeating the idea than actually living the idea.

And then even with 3D, there's a lot of Photoshop and nah, man. I like old-school Playboy scans. They're very tasteful and stuff. Like something you might see for an art class: no spreading, no sexual acts, just normal posing while in the nude. The old paintings of nude people are also very beautiful. Yeesh, people used to paint really amazing things on canvases. I kind of wish we still had those people around to make inspiring pieces of artwork.

This sounds weird to transition to, but since we're talking about gore, uh, I saw the photos of the Rape of Nanjing/Nanking (WWII Japanese army raping Koreans, Chinese, other nationalities to show their power). The photos are right up there with ISIS in terms of brutality.

I've been on the internet since my pre-teen years, lol...so I have too much knowledge of dumb things. Aside from porn, I have useless knowledge about animals. I'm -almost- exactly like Connor except I don't steal underwear and I'm a woman.

Argh, this went entirely too long, but I didn't know how to simplify it. A game about beating women just reminds me of GTA games. Part of me just thinks Hunter will be looking up either furry porn or underage porn/lolicon - since that'd be disturbing. One of the words Frankie's actress used to describe Hunter's character was 'creepy'. I wonder if it means he's saving the comics or if he's drawing them. But then if he's into lolicon, that'd be harder to defend compared to furry (unless we're talking literal animals/Mr. Hands territory - don't Google that, either. Some dumbass died because he tried to have sex with a horse/though in the case of animals, it'd be called rape).

Ugh, I hope it's just furry-related (to the smallest point you can go before you go straight down The Rabbit Hole of Depravity) and not that big of a problem. I like Hunter too much to want him to go down to the darker depths of the internet.

He has a lot of potential. If you think about how focused he was on his cellphone, though...there had to be some underlying addiction, which led to him wanting to pay actual money to see the naked bodies of his schoolmates.

Lolicon is probably something the show doesn't want to even touch because while they're drawn prepubescent girls, they're still prepubescent girls. That would taint Hunter forever.

It might not even be porn, just very violent comics though since I'm so jaded that it probably won't faze me. I just hope it's not regular 'ol hentai because I might just roll my eyes out of my head.

The birth rate is dropping in Japan mainly due to economic issues (stagnated wages while just about everything else like housing shooting up, people marrying later, women who work and are mothers don't get hired, thus scaring people away from having babies). That otaku subset is also a factor, with the 2D dating and the hikikomori and all that.

It's just down right terrifying how porn and other fantasy related things can not only alter, but rewire your brain and reward center in your brain to crave more dopimine to say porn, but then you go to have a real life encounter and you discover your libido is shot because your brain has adapted and become, for lack of better word, immune to a real life partner. The saying: Too much is a bad thing is very true for anything in life. Even people that are too into something as good as excersising can have long lasting negective effects on your body. Moderation is key, but most do anything exciting or that makes them feel good (a dopimine spike) too chronically where it becomes a problem. I.E. an addiction. I am not addicted to actual *porn* per say, just the dopimine rush my brain has rewired to my reward center to crave.

This may sound funny to users like Lexi, but it is no laughing matter. As high speed internet usage is growing to be coming; new generations growing up with HSP are later discovering it's long term effects such as PIED. (You can google if you're curious.) I personally didn't know that at 14 I was doing as something as dangerous as heroine to my body, but I was and many will continue to fall prey untill life becomes educated to the real dangerous and effects this can have.

Ahh. I couldn't read through Battle Royale's manga, so...I'm actually more easily fazed with violence. I got through watching Gantz the live-action movie, but to be fair, the manga was more violent.

Don't forget, the cheerleading plotline seems like it was ripped right out of a hentai manga. I was just like, "Are you seriously doing that, writers?" So technically, Degrassi is appealing to the dirty pervs out there (along with the whole 'Frankie and Hunter photo' thing).

Ah, but when I say hentai in terms of Hunter looking at 'disturbing' things, I am not talking about 'happy/consensual sex', I'm talking about the rape hentai (which is what hentai is - 70% or higher - most of the time). Happy/vanilla hentai is adorable, though, and it usually involves only two people, not a group. Monogamy, yay~ (I have found at least one comic that did have four people and they were already couples and switched, but they were happy/no force ).

Remember waiting for the Nickelodeon website to load for several hours and then I was so happy whenever I was finally allowed to view the website. Also, bane of my existence: Netscape Navigator.

I remember whenever Hunter was ranting at Becky about the internet being better than real life. The image that came to my head was that years later, he'd be a hikikomori/withdrawn and have a dakimakura/body pillow of some game or anime character (either fully dressed, half-dressed or naked - the figure on the pillow). People go outside with those pillows in public. I wish I was joking.
