I went on Degrassi Wikia so you don't have to and found that Amanda Arcuri is playing a character named Lola. And here's her twitter. Of course, they might be wrong.

Well, I'd sure like to see something more of a confirmation than "someone on tumblr said" before I'd go with it as a certain that they're going to be in Season 14.

But thanks for the names, everyone. At least we have some rumors of possible new cast additions.

One thing I will say is that I think most, if not all of the new cast members will be playing characters in the Frankie/Hunter grade.

Finally some news. Kyle over at Cable TV Talk posted some tentative season 14 titles, continuing the '90s theme:
And we know the premiere (1401 and 1402) is Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Also, TeenNick is producing a teasy music video for season 14! I guess they realized the music videos were sorely missed.

Thank you! So the finale is an Offspring song? I'm okay with this. Funny enough there is at least one fan-made MV for Degrassi that uses The Kids Aren't Alright.

Ahhh, I also realized that Hush is a Tool song. Depeche Mode is there, too. HELL YEAH. I'M PUMPED WITH THESE TITLES.

The finale is actually 1423/1424 and is titled "Finally." Finally, a pop/House jam to break up that mostly white-alternative song title list...

Oh yeah, no one knows if that is the season finale, they said they were picked up for 28 episodes way earlier, and they're doing with 24 of them, and they're taking a break for Open Heart. So no one really knows how many episodes there are.

I'm sorry. I didn't even really grow-up with alt. rock. Mostly started listening to it whenever I entered middle school (which was early 2000's).

Seriously, I forgot that Finally was the finale's song...even though I even commented about it before in this same damn thread. Oy vey. Grew up with 80's (born in '87), then went to Country, then went to House/Pop/Eurodance...then alt. rock, rap, Japanese, Korean, etc.

Shoot, there better be a Degrassi episode titled Two Princes or Here Comes The Hotstepper or Too Close. Poison by Bel Biv Devoe, too, come on, writers.

I'm pretty much a 90's R&B guy so I'm hoping for episodes titled after R&B songs. Have they even touched Mariah's or Whitney's discography? Boyz II Men? They barely have done any Michael song titles! Or even Gangsta Rap/Hip Hop! Can you imagine the episode titles? "The Boy Is Mine?" "I'm Every Woman?" "Gin and Juice?" "Breakdown?" "Dear Mama?" "Mo Money, Mo Problems?" "Bring the Pain?" Yaasss.

I also contend that "Street Symphony" would've been a better title for "You Are Not Alone/Enjoy the Silence." Overall, I wish the song titles were a better fit for the episode, I literally cannot remember episodes by title anymore and this has been a problem since season 11 or so.

Yeah, I used to be able to name off episodes EASILY, but now it's like "Uhhh, it was the episode when Clare gets mad at Eli about that thing...forget it." The titles haven't been that memorable lately.

I'm actually pretty excited for Season 14. Once I stopped taking the show so seriously (circa Season 10), it got significantly easier to appreciate the good and overlook the not so good. I'll def be looking out for the promo during the VMAs.
