I just watched the end of S1 for the first time and Karen killed Fisk's right hand man and never told anyone

And her and Foggy joked about drugs, maybe that was as far as they were going to take it or S3 she could spiral.

I really hope Karen doesn't spiral. They're doing so well by her rn, it would suck to see them ruin all that. And I can't even imagine it, considering where she is in life. What I'm curious about is how she fits into this universe as a reporter.

...Luke Cage is coming out in September right?

If you pick up random issues of the comics, Karen is different in each of them. Se went from 50s secretary to pin up to Robin Wright Penn in Forrest Gump, it's crazy, and her porn/drugs sl is one of the most sexist bull I've seen (she gets into porn because she wants to be an actress and can't succeed, because what else would a pretty girl want to be and what else would she do when failing at serious acting? smh) even though Born Again is very much praised because apparently it was progressive back then to deal with drugs et caetera, well clearly no one had any idea what to do of Karen. Hopefully show!Karen is going to want to stick with journalism. If her life does go to **** I'd see her hitting the bottle more than doing drugs, but I'm going to keep my fingers crossed and hope the showrunners won't do this to her. She's going to have enough problems the minute Fisk is out or Bullseye comes to town - or both.

I get why huge Karen supporters wouldn't want her to be an addict. For me, my intrigue over the storyline is solely to do with Deborah Ann Woll I think she's so talented. That episode where she kills Wesley (I think his name is) and the aftermath is acted so brilliantly. Even through Season 2 she is just so expressive, even in her gestures she does when she's worried or in the background of a scene. I think she'd kill it as a drug addict.

My favorite scene is when she is describing the what Frank's house looked like to him and the story she made up about her and Grotto a.k.a "Steve".

But I love her as a journalist. It's awesome to watch them all save the city and struggle in different ways.

She's really great she would do an addiction s/l justice.

Here's what I hope for next season:
- Foggy is working for a big company but something happens and he wants Nelson and Murdock back
- Karen is a journalist
- Matt is Daredevil/an attorney
- Elektra is risen lol! And Matt walks through fire, over glass and all kinds of crazy stuff to get her back
- And we get to see her take down the Hand in her full out red outfit
- Frank is trying to be a civilian again but suits up as vigilinate minus the punishing (unless he gets a spinoff or something lol)

I love Karen, and as much as I don't want to see her suffer, I'd love for her to have an arc like that. It would be interesting to watch, and I'm already picturing an entire plot line where Matt would call Claire to take care of her (with Claire being full on Night Nurse perhaps?), and Karen and Claire would become friends. I had hopes they would officially meet this season but it never happened. It would also be nice to see how Matt would deal with her sudden "change of image". He was pretty judgemental when Karen told him she somehow agreed with the Punisher, so I can only imagine how he would act knowing for a fact she's not this Madona he seems to view her as.

I also need Frank back as well because 1) he's amazing and 2) I can fit him in pretty much every single Karen storyline that goes through my head.

Oh I agree, that Karen scene was probably my favorite thing from s1. I see what you mean about the potential, but where that stuff led in comic canon kind of makes me nervous. And probably left over anxiety over the way Laurel's addiction was handled I guess. But if they handle it as well as Jessica's ptsd it could be interesting...

I can't wait. I'm so ready to fangirl over live-action Misty Knight! And Alfre Woodard. I'm more excited for it than I was DD, tbh. I just hope it's as good as DD.

I just realized that we probably won't see a 3rd season of DD until 2018? We have Luke Cage coming in September, then Iron Fist next year, followed by the second season of Jessica Jones or The Defenders? I haven't really been keeping up with the announcements but yeah, I doubt we'll see another season of DD before The Defenders.

Oh I have no doubt Deborah would kill it and it's probably true that I just don't want to see my small child suffer more than she already is. I guess it's going to depend on how she gets there. Wow that sounds absolutely terrible.

Are we sure Jessica Jones is only released next year? Because they can't have the Defenders without introducing Iron Fist, so it'll probably be Luke Cage - JJ - Iron Fist - Daredevil - The Defenders.

At least I hope so, no fcking way I can wait until 2018.
