A young man is gunned down, victim of an apparent mugging. It's the second time he's been mugged, but this time it's fatal. One case episode.
From SPOILERTV: A street dancer who wins $10,000 in a dance battle is seemingly robbed and killed in his hotel room while celebrating with his girlfriend, but the money is left untouched...

606: It Happened to Me
Air Date:
A one case episode, involving a man, Mark Stafford, who was poisoned. Hawkes actually had met the vic, mistaking his behaviour as that of a man who was drunk. Hawkes is in trouble financially, and having to find work where ever he can get it. Danny is walking again, with a cane.
From SPOILERTV: Hawkes responds to an emergency call in Central Park, but dismisses the case as just a drunk with a nosebleed, a complete waste of his time. When the man later bleeds out and expires, Hawkes bitterly blames himself and sets out to trace the circumstances of the man's mysterious and untimely death...

607: Hammer Down
Air Date:
The next few episodes are the crossover episodes with CSI. Langston is there, in NY, and at this time, the episodes involve a human smuggling ring, young women who are kidnapped and used for a variety of uses(sex slaves, organ donors, surrogates). The team is all working on this, but it's exposed to them when they investigate an initial case where a man shoots and kills an investor who lost all his money.

608: Cuckoo's Nest

Flack is still recovering from Angell's death, getting in trouble with his captain, and ending up beat up. It's also the continuation of the Hollis story. They finally know who he is, and where he came from.

•You guys mentioned a while back that CSI: NY producers were planning to bring back Reed, Mac's stepson, and Sam, Flack's sister, this season. How's that going? — Clarisse
ADAM: Not too well, actually. Executive producer Pam Veasey tells me that ebb and flow of story ideas in the writers' room just haven't ebbed back toward those characters. But don't give up hope. "These two characters are always on our minds," Veasey says. "And if they do return this season, it will be quite riveting."

• Don Flack will be a changed man after Jessica's death. "His relationships with everyone are a little strained."
• "There's some competition between [Haylen Becall] her and me [Adam] - some good hot girl - nerdy guy banter"
• But the biggest shocker involves Danny and Lindsay. "There is a change as a result of the shooting," teases Veasey. "It's worth tuning in for, big-time."
