I was disappointed. It looks beautiful, but I don't think the story is going to hold up any better than Dracula did (for me).
I'll watch at least another episode or 2, but it will have to get better if it's to hold my attention beyond that. JMHO. What did you think, Meredith? __________________

No, Blackbeard (Edward Teach) lived 1680-1718 according to Wiki, so this story probably would've been about 1720-ish (accounting for the English thinking they'd killed him already).
The British were already well-established in America by then, by almost 100 years. Piracy, particularly in the West Indies region and along the US E. Coast, was thriving. __________________
