| Wow, the opening posts on this thread look amazing. Well done!  I’m really going to miss this thread, and I know that everyone that posts on this thread will miss it as well, but just remember your couple, and most of all, remember each other, and the friendships that you’ve made, because no matter what was done to Brooke and Lucas on the show, that can never be taken away from you.Maybe you didn’t get the happy ending that you wanted for your couple, but you’ll always have a lot of wonderful memories of them to cherish. I’ll always remember how you all made me feel welcome when I started posting on this thread, and although I never got to watch the show when Brooke and Lucas were a couple, I can tell they were special to you all just from what you said about them, and I’m happy that you all loved this couple so much, and I’m happy that some of you have become such good friends and even met each other in person. It’s amazing when a couple on a television show can reach people like that, and even though this thread will be closing, the connection that you have with one another will remain. I’m also grateful for the friendships that I’ve made through posting on this thread, and I’m glad that I got to know some of you. | God, that OP is  unbelieveable. And the title is sooo perfect for our last thread. It's untouchable. I can't even find words for it. All I have to say is that our couple, our thread, and the people in it are completely awesome. I haven't been here very long compared to most of you, and I regret not coming here earlier, but the time I have spent here has been amazing.I'll never forget the couple or the ship behind the red door. We had the best story, proved by the quotes and arts up in the OP. In the weeks leading up to today, I thought the ending of this thread was going to be sad, but looking at it now, I'm inspired by our dedication and belief. | ^^I will #brucas all day!  amazingly beautiful opening post! and the entire time i'm looking at it all i can think of is why are they not together! especially when you look back over everything, which the OP allows you to do...IT IS SO CLEAR! so i choose to believe their story is not over yet. While the wrinkles they need to work out may take a little longer, people who are meant to be always find their way in the end. So I choose to believe BL! FTW! I have made some great friends thanks to this thread....i hope we can all find somewhere to continue to chat about our love for BL....I really hope one day we have a reason to reopen this thread! | I just changed a few minor errors (Thank you Cam-cam.  ).. after sleeping like 3 hours.And now, I'm basically crying reading this thread. I have so much to say and just can't bring myself to say it. So I guess I'm gonna follow Maranda and start with a story: About a year and a half ago, I was home alone a lot and really very sad. So I threw myself into this whole OTH thing after finding one of Lynn's fanfics. I started reading fic like they were going out of style and I kept seeing people mentioning this BL thread at FF in ANs and I had NO CLUE what they were talking about. I sometimes would lurk over at the CW and Tori would at times talk about the amazing girls here.. and the red door. And I wanted nothing more than to just read what these amazing girls had to say. If Lynn had restored my faith with just 5 chapters of YLGIMS, I couldn't imagine what watching them talk would be like. So one day, I came across this awesome oneshot and when I went to the author's profile, she was talking all about the red door and fanforum. It was Rosy. I PM'd her and just asked her what the writer reaction (that was in the days before I just called him Mark ) was. She PM'd me back and told me all about it.. and then gave me a way to find fanforum and this thread.I literally came directly here and signed up. So while I can be sad that I didn't find it sooner, at least I don't have to regret lurking for a long time. Because I didn't. I started posting the first day that I ever found this place. (Thank you Rosy- if you ever see this.) I was welcomed pretty much immediately but I can still remember how elated I was when Cami started talking to me. Or when Mere asked for my phone number. Or when Eva trusted me and my instincts with the dollhouse. Or when the girls started inviting me into these massive chats. Jules brought me into my first one. Then *meeting* Chey and Emma and Lynn, on MSN, or just talking to Cindy in here, was like meeting a celebrity really.. because I loved their stories soo much. This thread and the people in here have given me more than I ever could have imagined in the last year. Without all of ya'll, I'd still be alone and afraid. I'm sure of it. Thank you for all of the love and support you give. There's so much more. I'm gonna break it up. Because typing it all at once is going to be way too sad for me. | |||

| Would that be midnight for Eastern, Central, Mountain or Pacific? Because if it's EST, that's ten o'clock for me, which obviously, is so not midnight. And I think in certain ways, BL's story is much more beautiful and powerful by not ending up together in Mark's world. Because the people in this thread, the Core of their fans, really understand them in ways that the writers of this show couldn't even begin to fathom. We see their essence, the core of who they are, who they always were, and the type of people that they always will be. We see the layers of depth of these two characters, the depth of the love that they share, how that love that they shared affects every decision that they make in both their professional lives and personal boundaries. Mark doesn't see that. He can't see that, because he doesn't comprehend the multi-dimensions of these two characters and this couple. Them not ending up together from Mark's perspective is much more moving because we know that they'll eventually find their way back. Every moment, every interaction they've shared dictates and foreshadows that. It might not be in the near future, it might not be until they're eighty and gray, but eventually they'll realize what we've known about them all along: that they are worth it, that the love they've shared together and one another has always meant everything and that in the end, true love always wins out, always perseveres. __________________ There'll be blue skies "I felt your heart beat." | |||
