In the meantime, exec producer Leila Gerstein insists Wade’s infidelity and the pair’s subsequent breakup “was never intended to be the end” of their story. “It is a long series [and] we expect to do many, many, many more episodes of this show,” she adds of the recently renewed dramedy. “And they’re not even done for this season! What if I told you that his dream storyline does not involve Zoe…? Porter told me his No. 1 Season 3 wish is that “George is single, for most of the year. That we get to see him more fleshed out and go on some solo adventures as opposed to always being tethered to a relationship.” The actor noted that in Season 2, George “was single for one episode, and then had a revolving door of women coming through his life, and I want to see George outside of that.” As such, this storyline in which George shutters his law practice for a bit to indulge his musical leanings has a good ring to it. “There’s a part of George that is a little bit more wild — and he needs to start letting that side out.” [source]
Well, the thing is – even Gerstein isn’t entirely sure. The season is in the very early stages, and everything could be changing. We recently chatted with the lovely Kaitlyn Black and she exclusively told us that AnnaBeth and Zoe are going to get super close—like braid each other's hair close. "Yes there will definitely be a stronger relationship between the two of them and we will get to see lots of AB/Zoe shenanigans," she says. So does this mean that AB and Lemon's Belle bond is broken? Black explains, "Zoe is not taking the place of Lemon but with Zoe being very close to Lavon and AB being in love with Lavon they definitely get to hang out with each other quite a bit more." It would seem that the arrival of Josh Cooke’s character, who like Zoe is a NYC transplant, will shake up the canvas – meaning perhaps a bit less Zade action. “With Joel in town… the five original regulars aren’t working together a whole heck of a lot,” Scott Porter shared with us last week. “George is a kind of a satellite around everyone else’s storyline, and so is Wade. maybe it's just me reading too much into it but I find the placement of lemon weird, looks like they are romantically involved. And yes, it makes sense for both wade and george to be turned away from zoe, but for me it's odd zoe is more turned towards george than she is towards wade. Her position towards george is more open, also her body language seems to indicate the opposite of GZ being put to bed. Please no more of this back and forth. Or maybe this poster writes into S3 being about people being with people they shouldn't be with and finding their way back to each other. But again, it may be just me.
