More flashforwards? Last season, with only 10 episodes, and they’re still focusing on this future timeline?

Nah. I’d prefer they have the kids travel back in time to help Oliver with the crisis.

When the flashforwards were introduced, showrunner Beth Schwartz said they'll stay until the end of the show.
But it's still possible the future team will get recruited for the Crisis (i'm sure the writers won't pass on the opportunity of a Oliver/Mia team up).

I think they'll continue with the future in season 8, show the legacies fighting again whilst present day Star City starts to fall again to why it was so grim in 2040. They like mirrored storylines. I wouldn't put it passed them to have some form of Oliver/Mia/William scene before the end. Ben Lewis said he was coming back though Kat McNamara said she wanted to but didn't know yet a couple of weeks ago.

Not really, and if there is, it's probably to explain how the main characters aside from Oliver and Felicity ended up where they are in the future.

I think that's what will happen. How the Glades becomes the way it is and vigilantes are scum again etc. Then Oliver and the monitor collecting heroes and maybe alternate versions of current characters then the kids in the future maybe or maybe not leading to a spin off.

That's just what I think, we still need to know how Digg will adopt the Bronze Tigger's son, how did Roy end up on the island and other small aspects and in parallel to that what Oliver and Monitor are doing.
I do not think we will have the characters of the future in the past, Monitor believes in the balance and harmony of the multiverse, hence so he made the pact with Oliver and will be recruiting heroes and villains in other worlds, but without touching on temporal aspects of each Earth, I mean , without making drastic changes like the ones that Barry or The Flash have already done.

I think saving the universe takes priority over one city.

In the grand scheme of things, yeah.
But Oliver's journey has mostly revolved around saving his city, so the final season has to have a story about that on some level.

My biggest question is whether he'll make it out alive. I really hope he goes out in a blaze of glory.
