The ratings are something I'm going to pay attention to... well the only thing.
I find it interesting that OF have been together romantically this entire season and the ratings haven't improved. They don't suck (well, compared to The Flash they suck) but they're not that good. I know for a fact a bunch of comic fans are boycotting and if you look on Reddit there's so many fans saying they're leaving and the Felicity hate is increasing by the minute. Felicity is getting so much blame for this decision. Reddit has it thick as can be, the reads over there are interesting. I can't see how the death of Laurel is going to increase ratings if Oliver/Felicity together romantically didn't increase them this season. The death of Laurel has fans boycotting, comic fans like myself, Laurel fans... I would imagine the ratings are going to be even more pathetic than they already are right now. Bring it. |

Yeah, I'm not even a fan of Laurel's but I am angry at what the producers/writers have done to her character. This show has turned to total ****. If I was a producer and I sold my soul to the devil the way the Arrow writers have, I wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror anymore. And Marc really has some nerve writing that diatribe under that recent article that called out Arrow on it's mysoginistic writing - all the while knowing that he was in the process of killing off a legacy character in the Black Canary.
With the way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if Nyssa finally meets her marker in this year's season finale. |
