3.08: Mother Dearest

JOE JONAS GUEST STARS — Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) has to un-invite Navid (Michael Steger) to her magazine premiere party after Victor (guest star Nestor Serrano) arranges for her to go with Joe Jonas (appearing as himself) to boost her image. Annie (Shenae Grimes) and Dixon (Tristan Wilds) visit their dad but are shocked when a woman answers the door. A series of mishaps lead Jen (Sara Foster) to conclude that she is a bad mother, so she makes a decision with Ryan (Ryan Eggold) and her son’s best interest in mind. Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) and Ivy (Gillian Zinser) team up to seek revenge on Oscar (guest star Balir Redford) with a plan that involves skinnydipping in the Beach Club pool. Navid discovers that his father may be using underage girls in his porn films and convinces Silver (Jessica Stroup) to go undercover. Lori Loughlin, Matt Lanter and Trevor Donovan also star.

3.09: They’re Playing Her Song

TEDDY VISITS A BAR IN WEST HOLLYWOOD – Teddy (Trevor Donovan) begins to feel more comfortable in his own skin and decides to visit a bar in West Hollywood where he soon realizes he forgot his wallet and is forced to turn to Ian (guest star Kyle Riabko) for help. Annie (Shenae Grimes) is ready to take her relationship with Charlie (guest star Evan Ross) to the next level but is mortified when his friends catch a glimpse of her in lingerie. Now a single father, Ryan (Ryan Eggold) turns to Debbie (Lori Loughlin) for help and the two end up hooking up. Navid (Michael Steger) deals with the fallout of having turned his father in for employing underage girls in his pornography business by turning to Silver (Jessica Stroup). Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) is oblivious to Navid’s situation due to her new found fame. Tristan Wilds, AnnaLynne McCord, Matt Lanter and Gillian Zinser also star.

Shenae Grimes is the new Bette Davis, yes? This theory will be tested when 90210 launches an All About Eve storyline for Annie. Annie’s cousin Emily comes to visit Beverly Hills and steal away all of Annie’s acting jobs and friends while deceptively pretending to be a clueless naïf from the sticks. Interesting…Any casting ideas from the Lucy Hale/Willa Holland/SMG division of tiny fierce actresses?

Things aren’t looking too hot for Adrianna right now—you know, since she stole a dead pop star’s song and got caught by his creepy, money-grubbing manager—but she’s actually going to find some major success in the music biz. We’re talking number-one hit song, full-on entourage and a bitchy go-getting publicist. Add that to the fact that she and Navid are still going pretty strong (he hates the whole biz, but is sticking by Ade), and we’d say she’s doin’ all right.

Keep your eyes peeled for some mayor flirtage between Debbie (Lori Loughlin) and Ryan (Ryan Eggold). Might they 90210′s next big fling? Don’t count Aunt Becky out—she is single and ready to mingle!

Short of love, how about more of the always-reliable lust? Because Naomi will flip for a hunky surfer pal of Ivy’s. No, she will literally flip, seeing as she tries to pass herself off as an expert surfer. The end result makes Greg Brady and his tiki-wearing self look downright agile. And yes, I realize that’s my second ‘Brady Bunch’ reference in this week’s column.

Teddy has a big episode on Nov. 15, but I’m told he won’t come out until next year, meaning some time in 2011.

We’ll also see a very different side to Ivy when her very conservative father reappears in town. And one last thing: That girl who takes a major Single White Female-type liking to Annie will also take a huge liking to Annie’s man Liam. Dun-dun-dun.
