General spoilers

  • Season 6 will be very, very different compared to previous seasons (hence why Jason changed up the writers room) and won't be about wars or my people vs your people.
  • The mystery of what happened to the people of Eligius III (who supposedly have been down there for 200+ years) will be the main focus of the new season.
  • Eliza Taylor (Clarke) is going to be challenged as an actress, more than she has ever been before, just like Marie in S5. It's gonna be a Clarke-heavy season.
  • Jason points out that the story of the Commanders and the Flame is far from over. Madi will continue to try to master the Flame's abilities into S6 (as teased in 5x13).
  • The culture/civilization our heroes will encounter in the new world is different from anything they've faced before (but not necessarily in a dark way). Jason states the reveal will be fascinating, weird, but also fun and that it will have very deep roots in the existing mythology of the show.
  • There will be an episode full of characters scenes, talking about feelings, getting emotional and... having sex.
  • We're about to really lean in (hardcore) sci-fi world-building with the new planet.
  • About aliens and new threats: 'there's definitely life on that planet. You better believe there are things out there that don't exist on Earth!'
  • Bellamy and Octavia's relationship will take a while to recover and the siblings will have to figure out who they are as a person independent of each other.
  • When Octavia wakes up from cryo, she will still be tormented by what she’s done, who she’s become, emotionally haunted by it in many ways.
  • Jason can't say for sure if Ian Cusick will return as a series regular or will be guest-starring (because of the actor's role on a new series). However, at the end of S5 Kane was put into cryo instead of dying. Our heroes will have to figure out a way to save his life when he wakes up.
  • About Jordan (portrayed by Shannon Kook): Jordan has never left that spaceship or met other people, so everything he's about to experience will be brand new for him. It’s going to be a fascinating journey to see if he can keep that innocence and wide-eyed excitement that he’ll enter the season with...
  • Additionally Clarke and Bellamy will take on the role of protective aunt and uncle who won't let Jordan get into danger, while Murphy will try to corrupt him.
  • Clarke and Bellamy won't wake everyone that's in cryosleep right away. They'll first somehow have to figure out if the new planet is survivable and safe enough.
  • Jason points out it isn't very exciting or thrilling to watch a show where a bunch of good guys do good things all the time, so bad things will still happen to people who deserve better, because that's the nature of the show, and always will be.
  • Last but not least, Jason promises the end of season 6 (which he already figured out) is going to be f---ing awesome(!)

TFTNT. Love the title.

Thanks for the new thread, Lisa :)

I still have the feeling that Echo will die or will be left behind after watching the spoiler vid
There is no official announcement that Tasya will be part of S6 and I think Tasya saying that she's glad to have a steady job could have been a statement in relation to her steady job in S5 and not in relation to S6
I prepare myself for the worse :(
Thank god, I have a day off on Wednesday, so I have time to mourn and to recover if Echo dies/will be left behind

Tftnt. :)

I've never been attached to Echo so I don't mind. Indra and Emori are two grounders I always want to pull through.

I will be so mad if Indra dies. :pout: There's a pic floating around of her and that other grounder chick (white brunette lady who is loyal to Madi now) on what looks like the inside of the ship. So fingers crossed!

As for Emori...I'm scared. Murphy is clearly injured in the finale, and she's with him. :look:

I will be crushed if Indra dies.

:fingers_crossed: Indra needs to be safe. Inside the ship sounds good to me. Away from the danger.

There's no way Emori would leave John behind so something might happen to her. :embarrassment:

Oh man, I forgot about Indra in the idea of finale deaths. Honestly, I’d rather Gaia die.

I do think Emori is likely no matter if they resolve the memori stuff or not, I could see either way it could set Murphy to regress as a character for S6 (especially if they go into deep sleep and we have no real time for him to heal from it). I also worry about Raven too though that’s way more unlikely since her character can be used to fix anything they need fixing. But given her lack of storyline this episode and the rushed aspect of Zaven, it makes me nervous. I worried more for Kane than Abby but they seem they are making it crystal clear he survives. Fuzzy makes great points on the death of Madi AND I’ll add one because the way they do time on this show, being a teenager in RL means inevitably she’ll have growth spurts and it will get distracting.

Who is also likely (but I see as minor characters) and I don’t care about is Shaw, Gaia, Miller (he’s made me mad this season) and McCready (I’m sure his death will be satisfying to watch).

Between the previews and the leaked footage, it does make it easier to guess what may happen.

I think all of the series regulars and almost all of the main recurring characters make it onto the ship. I see McCreary being the only one dying on the ground. I don't think there will be enough pods for everyone. Monty and Harper might give up having a pod and decide to live a peaceful life.

It does seem like Lucas is Monty and Harper's son or grandson (depending on what happens to Dioysa). Could it be everyone is awaken 100 years later?

I hope we get some emotional reunions, farewells, and regrets. I want some heroic feats. Most importantly, I want to see Bellamy and Clarke leading a new, unified group which includes people from the ark, the ground, and maybe an Eligius prisoner or two as they head towards a new home.

I just want Octavia to survive.. that is it.. that is my only wish for the end of this season

My theories on the finale and season six based on the video are:

* Whilst the theory of Marper staying awake and Lucas being their decendant is a good one I’m think that it is Shaw and Emori who stay awake. The voice saying that it took him 30 years could definitely be Shaw and Shaw makes more sense being an Eligius pilot. They could reasonably say that Raven didn’t stay awake with him as she would be vital to the group at the destination (for that matter this makes it make more sense for Monty to go to sleep as well rather than stay awake). They also at the start of the series introduce Emori as learning to pilot / engineering which they didn’t do for nothing. This also sets up some good storylines in season six for Raven and Murphy and perhaps even Murven.

* I also think Marper may go to sleep as the view they are looking at looks to be the same one as Bellarke and I think that is after the wake up because their expressions look more like Bittersweet rather than full on grief. This makes me think they went to sleep knowing they were losing / had lost loved ones and have woken up to find that their plan was successful but at a significant cost. I’m thinking Echo and Madi may also not survive either because they stay awake or sacrifice themselves on the ground to allow the ship to take flight for this reason.

* I’m also wondering if we are going to get a new 100 (i.e. 100 in cryogenic sleep + the pilot/crew that is awake at time of the arrival at the destination) given that almost all of the original 100 are now gone.

* I think Octavia will survive. I feel like her season six storyline could be one of redemption and growing up. Seasons 1-4 we have had Octavia portrayed as a little bratty and very judgemental of Bellarke and their decisions and then in Season 5 we have had corrupted by power Octavia whose own decisions had such dire consequences. She has to deal with that and perhaps out of that she may have more understanding for Bellarke than she used to pre Praimfaya.

* I’m also sure that Bellamy, Clarke, Murphy & Raven survive, but am unsure of who else and have been bouncing around who Lucas is if I am right about Marper.

Thanks to Bluedog on the main site for posting this, here is the first sneak peek:

The 100 season finale sneak peek: Raven strikes a difficult deal | EW.com

So after seeing this, I can't let go of Raven being "uncompromised". Perhaps when she gets them airborne, she does something to at least keep McCready from being able to fire onto the ground?

Fuzzy Dunlop 08-06-2018 07:42 AM

That clip is really uncomfortable. I totally understand why Raven caved in there. You can't just sit there and watch somebody's leg being ripped off by a huge piece of machinery. Like they didn't even need to set up a romance between Raven and Shaw to make that believable.

TaraJoyful 08-06-2018 08:34 AM

*sigh* Yeah, that clip was definitely uncomfortable.

I get that Lindsey is an amazing actress and absolutely kills these scenes every time, but I really wish they would stop making her their go to torture child. :pout:

It's gotten to the point that every time Raven gets tortured/hurt on screen I just kind of roll my eyes. And I freaking love her! I just wish they'd give her a new story line at this point.
