I won't buy it either until I rent it first, but season 1 has gotten nice reviews & the ratings were terrific as well. It was nominated for ''Best Television Drama'' at the Golden Globes this year.

I'll say this: I liked it a lot, but it's not the kind of show I'd watch over and over.

Yeah. I have the first TPB, but haven't bought the rest yet. It was pretty good though.

 I want to read the comics! I'm a huge fan of the show and I've heard a lot about the books... I don't know where to find them though __________________

I only own volume 1 of the Walking Dead, but have enjoyed reading it. Barnes & Noble is likely a good choice to search for the Walking Dead comic books. There is also a Walking Dead Compendium available.
