Comics VS Movies: what's changed.

Okay so our favourite Comics and Characters have hit the big sceen over the past few years but along the way somethings have been altered for the story, such as....

X men:

Comic:Callisto's powers in the comicverse were....heightened strength, agility, reflexes, and sensory perceptions, she was also blind in her right eye.

Film:where as in the film her powers were very similar to Quicksilver who possesses superhuman speed.

Comic: Wolverines real name is James Howlett

Film: his name is Logan.

I'm no comic expert, but I was just woundering what differences everyone had spotted and what are you thoughts on them...

The most glaring was Spider-man's organic web-shooters in the first movie vs the mechanical ones in the comics (before the recent changes).

Plus, I don't believe that Toad had the giant tongue in the comic that he had in the first X movie.

You're right. He doesn't have that giant tongue. I don't mind it though.

Pyro is actually Australian in the comics. But he's not in the movie. I don't see why not. Aaron Stanford could have pulled off the accent, IMO.

Well, everyone in the comics call him Logan too. Wolverine himself thinks of himself as "Logan". His real name is James Howlett, but he doesn't remember that.

I'm thinking the spin off movie will deal with that.

Good idea for a thread topic, btw.

I completely forgot about Wolverine's name. Interesting.

Shouldn't Colossus have had an of accent too, then? Although, his lines in both X2 and X3 were very...short.

Thanks Yeah I thought that might have been the case and I hope it's brought up later in the spin off

Yeah he was russian right??? I think it would have been intresting if they would have given the characters their accents

Yes. Colossus is Russian, so he should have had an accent. Of course, you are right about how few lines he had. The actor may have been speaking in a Russian accent for all I could tell.

Another favorite thing changed from comics to movies is when they put nipples on the Batman suit. I think that was one of the signs of the apocalypse.

Agreed. And the "Bat butt" shot almost made me switch teams. All of it was pretty disgusting.

Interesting how the guy who attacked Wolverine in X3 resembled very much so to Marrow... who's a girl. A hot girl... but a girl. Was that really Marrow?

It never actually said who most of the evil mutants were, and I didn't actually watch the credits, so I didn't see what names where in there and what ones weren't.

I checked imdb. It doesn't mention Marrow, but that doesn't mean anything. You might be right about that.

I thought it was cool when it was revealed, but the more I reflect on it the stupider I think it is.
