Welcome to the thread everyone.

In the last thread we were discussing DC's relaunch of some titles. I haven't even seen the prices yet, so unsure if I'll pre-order any. I'm probably most excited to read Nightwing. Justice League #1 will be released first during the final week of August. Haven't been this excited about buying comics for a while. Can't wait!

I'm always excited when it comes to buying comics so when I heard about the relaunch it doubled my enthusiasum. I pre-ordered mine from Midtown Comics. Where I live there's only one comic book shop but it's not that great. Barnes & Nobles has a great selection now but they don't have back issues so one day I just googled comic book shops and now Midtown is my go to place (even if it is over 1,000 miles away).

Anyways, shipping price aside, right now they have the DC relaunches for pre-order and at 35% off each issue. Here is kind of an estimate of the ones I got with their prices (the prices in blocks are how much it would have been without the discount):

Action Comics- $2.59 [3.99]
Green Arrow- $1.94 [2.99]
Green Lantern- $1.94 [2.99]
Superman- $1.94 [2.99]
Superboy- $1.94 [2.99]

What has gotten you into the Superboy Comics? Never read them yet.

LOL Smallville. They did an episode in regards to Conner Kent which I thought was pretty interesting. I had never been into Superboy before but I never gave him a chance.

(It was because of Smallville though that I also go into The Legion of Superheroes and Green Arrow).

With Superboy, him being a clone of both Clark and Lex, I find that fascinating since he has to struggle with the two sides especially when that one side of him is pure evil.

Green Arrow arrived in season 6, The Legion arrived in season 8, and Conner arrived in season 10.

It's actually been good. It kind of reminds me of Superman IV: The Quest for Peace where Supes tries to rid the world of nuclear weapons. Similar concepts anyway only with Supes trying to rid the world of kryptonite. It also makes me think of something I had never thought of before and that's that kryptonite is what makes Superman human because like any lead bullet that can end our lives, kryptonite pretty much does the same.

So how is Batman helping him with the krytonite?

Batman is using his technology to map out the locations of where all the kryptonite is and then he's been helping to retrieve it. He doesn't believe in Superman's idea but gives him the benefit of the doubt.

Haven't gotten to any parts with villians but the back cover did say there was a Doomsday character that has kryptonite built in.

Yeah. I've seen him before & read that he killed Superman.
