Slightly OT,

have you ever heard about fandom wank? Here's one dealing with Neil Gaiman's fight with Todd McFarlane over the rights to Miracleman. Very funny.

Haha! I've been digging through the link to Gaiman's blog to find the media file with closing arguments, firing it up now.

Met Gaiman last year, really genuine and pleasant fellow, but you know instantly upon shaking his hand; you do not screw with this man and walk away. McFarlane always comes off totally clueless in any press he does, he had this coming...

LOL, I adore this closing argument as well. But rather interesting as well.

Poor Todd, our strong Canadian ale seems to have overwhelmed him...

I might have mentioned this already in the OT thread... can't remember... but about a month ago, I bought the Desire mini-bust. It's sweet!

How does him/her/it look? Do the golden eyes pierce your very soul whenever you look in his/her/its direction?

Hmm, a movie? Hadn't heard of any pre-production plans, was it supposed to be live or animated?

Busts freak me out; I prefer figures with limbs.

I got into Sandman a while ago. Picked up the Dolls House while at the library one day and loved it. I've got all the Sandman comics and also some of the Death ones. I love the whole story and concept behind Sandman. The artwork is different from some of the stuff I read but I like it, it's dark and different.

I got all of the trades off the local library as well! Saved me a good $500 Canadian so far, though I did pick up a few of Gaiman's non-comic works.

Welcome!

I wish my library carried Graphic Novels. I've only seen one so far. I guess I could interlibrary loan some.

I got them all by ordering through the catalogue; by default, my location has absolutely no comics whatsoever...

I heard that Death might get a movie. I read the news awhile back though.

Based on one of the books featuring Death? Cool, I got some ideas on who could portray the part.
