Fan Forum - The ReBoot Thread: "I come from the net."

I used to post on a thread like this a long time ago -- back when the fourth (and final) season started showing on the Cartoon Network.

I thought I would start one up again...because the other day I was considering buying all four seasons on DVD off of Ebay -- I'm assuming the DVDs were fanmade, because I think only seasons 3 and 4 were ever released. I ended up passing on them (thinking to myself that surely ReBoot will be released officially one day, with extras and bonus features and stuff...and won't I be happy I waited? Eh. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if I change my mind and bid on a set if one pops up on Ebay a few weeks from now.) And it just made me remember how much I enjoyed the show.

To this day everytime I hear anyone say the words "Game over" I hear that familiar electronic voice ringing in my head: "Game over...the user wins."

And when I think about it, I still have a crush on Matrix (one of the sexiest cartoon characters ever). And my heart still flutters when I think of watching Season 3 for the first time on Cartoon Network -- with Matrix and AndrAIa on the search for Bob and Mainframe.

Especially my favorite S3 episode, the one with fake Mainframe, where Matrix is forced to confront his demons and little Enzo comes out of the shadows and starts in with that little speech that begins, almost chillingly, "I am number one." (That reminds me -- whenever anyone says, "Be seeing ya'!" I also think of ReBoot, because of that episode.)

I cannot be the only person who remembers this amazing series.

Now, I have to go pull an all-nighter while studying for a test...hopefully when I come back tomorrow someone will have posted. :)
