It's good that you don't have to evacuate. Wild fires can be unpredictable and scary. All the soot & ash in the air must make it difficult to breathe when you're outside.

Not much going on here. Co-vid restrictions are easing, but I'd still rather err on the side of caution. Mom needed some new pajamas so I went to the local department store and fortunately found exactly what I wanted. It was nice but weird to browse the store. It was the first time I'd been anywhere other than the grocery store or pharmacy since March.

Yeah. I've been staying inside today. Our garbage & recycling came aren't going to be picked up until this smoke I think clears. It was scheduled for today to be picked up, but that won't happen until this air is considered safe enough to be in. I've had to reschedule a couple of library pickup appointments for next week, but other than that I haven't been bas effected by this smoke as perhaps others are. That's nice of you to go shopping for your mom.

The smoke out there looks absolutely horrible.

Mom's in a nursing home and isn't able to go shopping for herself.

My pharmacy is in the medical clinic which is beside the hospital. Yesterday I had to pick up a prescription refill. I wondered what the heck was going on because there was a huge line up for the parking lot. A couple of cars went around, so I tried that too figuring I'd turn around and go back later. Turns out it was just the line up for the covid tests. The kids are back in school but are screened every day for covid symptom. If a child reports any sort of symptom, they're sent home and told to go get tested. People are waiting several hours for a test, When I went to be tested last week I drove right up.

Hopefully you've been well lately. We have had a lot of rain in the past 48 hours & it's still raining here in the Portland Metro Area currently. Plus we have more Covid-19 restrictions coming up next week in Oregon, Washington, & California. Those will last until at least until December 3rd. Maybe on that day they'll be lifted. They don't want people traveling or getting together for Thanksgiving here in the U.S. this month.

Are you all having a good week & holiday if you're celebrating? We had a late dinner tonight & my cherry pie just finished cooking with it being almost 11:00 P.M. long day, but it's nearing the end & Black Friday + Cyber Monday are next.

I'm Canadian and we celebrate Thanksgiving in October. I hope you enjoyed your holiday.

Cherry pie? With ice cream?

Did you go out to the Black Friday sales? None of the advertised specials caught my eye, so I didn't bother.

Snow flurries here, but it's not accumulating.

We're on another lockdown until the middle of the month. Let's hope the vaccine helps us get covid under control.

Darn. There's that & the chaos in D.C., which tomorrow/Thursday I am not hopeful that it will be much better there than today. This is 1 of the prices of having Trump as our president here I think. He fans the flames. It's been unusually warm here thus far this month. 8 or 9 degrees Celsius at 11:30 P.M. in January in the Portland Metro Area is not cold to me, but that's what we have. The rain though I coukd do without this week.
