Welcome to the thread everyone! Hope everyone has been having a great summer thus far. It has indeed been very hot throughout the Pacific Northwest with few exception, such as the Oregon & Washington coasts. Arizona has been having it even worse temperature wise than here.

I saw that Wenatchee, WA is on fire. That's where my grandfather lives, but I haven't heard from him.

Yeah. 12 houses have been reportedly destroyed by it, but thankfully no deaths yet.

My summer's been great so far -- not one complaint. How awesome is it that we legalized gay marriage nation-wide this summer?! Definitely a big moment in history, very cool to be a part of it.

Yeah. Lots of stuff is getting legalized lately. They just legalized marijuana in Oregon this week.

The Wenatchee fire reportedly destroyed 29 homes plus 4 business were damaged. Mayor Kuntz announced they are going to ''ban fireworks withing the city limits'' through July 4th.

It's a shame they have to ban fireworks for the 4th of July. I hope they give people someplace they can watch fireworks.

I've got no problem with them legalizing marijuana just as long as no one tries to legalize cocaine or heroin afterwards. We don't need that.

Actually In Oregon I think any firework that goes off in the air is considered ''illegal''. Has everyone been having a good weekend. I saw ''Jurassic World'' yesterday. It was pretty good. Has everyone seen it? I didn't watch much fireworks as I'm not really into them. The mall I was at had just about every store I was at had almost all the stores closed in it just after 6:00 P.M. Might as well have had the mall closed yesterday. Hope you all had fun.

I didn't watch any fireworks. It was hot and humid, and I didn't feel like sitting outside.

Yeah. I was outside some though thankfully the mall & buses have air conditioning. Today there's a heat advisory for the Portland Metro Area again though apparently by Thursday it should be cooled down some. They do show the Fort Vancouver fireworks show on TV locally here for those that don't want to go out I guess & there's some more closer fireworks shows to here.

Went to the beach this whole 4th of July weekend and had a blast with a ton of friends. Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday!

Ohh, do I wanna go to the beach. But I don't know if I'll have time or money.

I'd have to drive 100's of mile to go to the beach, so that's not in the plan for the future. I could go to the lake, but it's infested with Texans and not that enjoyable.
