I'll admit, I don't really care for the anime. I've watched b/c it's an Adult Swim staple, but that's it.

The whole mullets thing reminds of Marmalade Boy. Yuu, Ginta and Satoshi had such bad hair in the anime. I wanted to attack each of them with a sharp pair of scissors!

I found it hard not to fall in love with Rei. There is just something about him. I loved everything about MARS and found it hard to put down. It's one of the few things I'll reread again.

I was thinking of reading Wish. Does anyone know if it's any good?

I suffer from mulletphobia. I'm pretty much a "live and let live" person, but mullets..are..wrong.

Ugh, Ginta and Yuu are so cute in the manga. They gave them mullets in the anime!?!

OK, what is MARS about. I've looked at it, and it doesn't seem interesting. But I'll give it a try.

pia - i liked MARS a lot.... its sort of a bittersweet love story. here's a short description:

Kira, a shy high school student, lives only for her art. Rei, An arrogant, rebellious and violent playboy, wears his delinquency like a badge of honor. They are exact opposites in every way, but when Kira sees Rei kissing a statue of Mars, she overcomes her fears and asks him to model for her. And, to everyone's surprise, Rei agrees.



it starts of a somewhat typical, but then their past catches up to them...i think it was well written

Hmm, mullets are pretty scary. It's a hairstyle that's short on top and long at the bottom.

No mullets in MB, just bad hair. I think so, at least.
