I just recently started watching this anime. It originally came out in 1998. It's pretty good. The story is about a group of space cowboys/bounty hunters' adventures. My hypothesis: this inspired Firefly?

Yeah. I know. That's why I was wondering if your question was if Cowboy Bebop inspired ''Firefly''? I don't think it did. It's been said that a Civil War novel inspired the Firefly universe.

Cowboy Bebop is 1 of the few shows on Hulu that I enjoy watching. Classic show. I haven't seen the series in order, so will try to do that.

yeah the movie. The story timeline of the movie is something like 2 episodes before the ending.
