Looks Good!

Also, more details on the 2-disc DVD set.

The 3-disc deluxe edition should be out for the holidays, though I don't see how they can beat that 27-part documentary (!) on the earlier release.

Constantine looks good, and Rachel Weisz is the bomb.

Never read Hellblazer, nearly 200 issues is pretty intimidating to start. I've come across Constantine as a character in The Books of Magic and Sandman...

Anything's gotta be better than LXG, this at least looks like it can stand on its own, even if not entirely faithful to the comic book the way Hellboy was.

There are 3 pics of Jessica Alba and Bruce Willis in Sin City , as well as a small article about it at Movie Box .

Nope. Never read Hellblazer. Maybe that's why I think Constantine looks decent.

that totally explains it. hellblazer would make a great film or even better a series but your test audience in california would hate it- they wouldn't understynd his accent for a start and certainly couldn't cope with the fact that the main character is a coward and all out for himself and not in a very nice way kind of person

Doing a totally faithful take on Hellblazer would require a miniseries.

I think audiences would accept a closer match to the comic series, but only if the studio had the balls to say "We're probably taking a bath on this one, but the sequel will do better at the box office".

I still haven't gotten a chance to see American Splendor. It was playing in theaters for a long time where I live, and I still managed to miss it.

I think comic book movies have a lot to do with how much you care about a property. Catwoman isn't sacred to me. And constant Law and Order reruns still isn't enough for my Benjamin Bratt fix, so I'll probably go see it.

Ditto Keanu/Constantine.

However when it comes to say the new Elektra movie; Marvel would have to pay off my university loans and give me copious amounts of alcohol to get me to watch it. And Arad & Co. would have to share the drugs they're taking.

It's all relative.

From www.chud.com :

Aside from Alba, the Fantastic Four flick will feature Ioan Gruffudd as the rubbery guy, Michael Chiklis as hardened orange, and Chris Evans as the burn victim. Shooting is set to begin really, really soon because the movie is supposedly a Summer 2005 release

Jessica Alba? WTF? She doesn't look anything like Sue Storm. Or have any of the same qualities. Oh well.
