Classic Cartoons Thread#1: nostalgia goodness for everyone!
I didnt see this thread around
I made this thread to discuss any classic cartoon that you grew up with and till this day still enjoy watching because we cant get enough of those silly characters that will always have a place in our hearts. I want to try and get a list going to see how many of those shows we remember Im more of a 90's kid that watched shows like rocko, angry beavers, or hey arnold but I have also seen a few of some 80's toons like the smurfs, and the care bears. __________________

I think we had a thread like this but it probably got lost in the last crash.
Till this day, I can never get enough of Tom & Jerry. It is really hilarious especially the really old ones! __________________

Isn't this kinda similar to the Fav. Cartoons When You Were A Kid thread? Or are we here to talk about classic cartoons from the Hanna Barbra and Looney Tunes era?

I think this thread can stick around...although IMO, 80's and 90's cartoons aren't that classic...but eh...we have different perspectives on what's classic
I always liked the very "old school" Scooby Doo shows, not the "What's New Scooby Doo" that they air today (although kudos to the fact that the voice actor for Shaggy lended his voice to both series) |

Yeah, here we can talk about the classic cartoons and they don't necessarily have to be favorites.

Just got back from watching the YouTube versions of Looney Tunes where Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck keep arguing whether it's rabbit season or duck season.
No matter how many times I watch it, it's still hillarious |

Hanna Barbara cartoons were great! I used to love the Olympic Hanna Barbara cartoon special. There was Snagglepuss, and others. That evil laugh he had.
Some classisc I've liked: Tom and Jerry Flinstones The Jetsons Care Bears My Little Pony Rainbow Bright Pound Puppies Muppet Babies Smurfs Master of the Universe He-Man and She-Ra Bugs Bunny and all the Looney Toons Thundercats Inspector Gadget Charlie Brown and all the Peanuts characters Rocky and Bullwinkle Droopy Winnie The Pooh and all the associated characters The dog and the chicken (from the 1980's). Anyone remember what the cartoon was called? There maybe others I can't think of right now. __________________

Oooh Rocky and Bullwinkle I remember when they showed it, especially with Boris and Natasha.
I remember after the commercials are done, there was this clip in which Rocky and Bullwinkle were trying to avoid the lightning but they got struck, got buried, and then grew along with crops of corn. And of course the Peabody shorts. |

I remember those Jetson/Flinstone crossovers. Especially when the Flinstones traveled in to the Jetsons' world.
