Candy Apple Black

This small company named The Good Intentions Paving Company introduced this new comicbook named Candy Apple Black at Comicon this year. The response seemed pretty good. The writer/owner, inker and penciler were all there to talk about it.

Summary: An angel is cast down because he believes suicide shouldn't be a damnable offense in heaven. To teach him a lesson, he is sent to Earth for 1000 yrs only being seen or heard by those about to take their own lives and small children. While heaven hopes that his punishment will teach him how worthless humans are, it instead proves to him that he was right to care about us. So, he has been secretly collecting the souls of all the suicides for the past 1000 yrs, disrupting the delicate balance of power between heaven and hell.

First cover was called "Fire & Rain"

Have you guys heard of it?

Definitely something I'll check out when I get more cash (and ideally, when it's in a trade paperback)!

You can definitely get this in paperback. They're not producing any hardcovers.

We're waiting for the first books to come in right now. We will probably be getting them in the mail next week. I've seen the rough draft and it looks great.

Looks pretty good, and the concept is one that interests me. I'll have to pick it up when it comes out as a tpb.

Books 1-4 are out. They're not in TPB form yet. It's a 7 part series, so after the other 3 are released, they'll probably put it into TPB form.
