That would make a really good storyline. Of course, it would end with killing the Joker, so it might not ever happen outside of Elseworlds. Plus, if it did, he'd just be back in a few months like every other character that dies.

They kind of did it. There was a time when Joker was about to be executed. It turns out he didn't commit the particular murder that he was charged with. And Batman was the only one who knew.
But I can understand why they'd never kill Joker (from TPTB's POV). He's just too good of a villain. __________________

He is a great villain. Plus, they never execute any of the other villains in comic book world, so the Joker shouldn't be any different.

True. I've actually never seen Joker pop up in BOP. They mostly deal with more minor villains.

I guess Joker is more of a Batman only villain.

But he took great pleasure in harming the Gordon family. He did just cripple Babs, he murdered her mother in an atempt to drive her father insane. Which lead to him quiting his job and retirering.
He did all this, killed Jason, and slaughter god knows how many before and after the death or Robin and the crippling of Batgirl. And Batman did nothing. No wonder The Red Hood hates them both. ): ) __________________

This is true. That's part of that whole 'Batman doesn't kill' conundrum DC has created...because, if I'm not mistaken, Batman used to shoot people back in the Golden Age.

I've never read the comic but I've picked up bits and pieces off some LJ groups. I adored the series, I have it on DVD and everything, it's just an amazing show that was taken before it's time.
The odd thing I've noticed in the BoP comic series is how Dinah was in more of the Helena role from the tv show. The Dinah on the television series was much younger and not really Black Cannary, the daughter of her. An LJ community that I'm in made a whole week out of the slashy Dinah/Barbara scenes from the comic. Made me kinda like them the way I liked Barbara/Helena in the tv series. __________________

Yeah, Dinah is a lot older in the comics. But I actually did like her in the series too.

All right, another fan of the show. We seem to be few and far between.

Haven't read too many of the comics myself, so I can't point out too many slashy moments between Dinah and Barbra. Could anyone help me with that?

I can't think of any slashy moments. I guess I'll have to look through my comics again. __________________

Well the scans I saw had some definate slashy stuff. I didn't know the Babs/Dinah fandom was so big in the comic fans. Apparently they're huge.

Hmm.....what about that thing with Jade and Dinah? The assassin seems to have a weird fixation on Dinah. Then theres Huntress/Barbra......
No male cast, makes for many slashy moments. ): ) __________________
