Question is if you want to. And if you do, I suggest watching the episode where the high school boy is addicted to a Type S drug and becomes so obsessed with this RPG game on his computer that he takes his jollies out on a new employee.
By the way, I got the OST (original soundtrack) thread up! http://www.fanforum.com/f84/ost-orig...here-62924874/ We kind of need a music thread in here anyway and the closest we have is the Theme Songs thread. |

Here's the links to my favorite episode. Unfortunately, the subtitles are in Spanish. But let me give you the gist of the story after I give you the links:
YouTube - Boogiepop Phantom (SubtEsp)Ep.4/1 YouTube - Boogiepop Phantom (SubtEsp)Ep.4/2 YouTube - Boogiepop Phantom (SubtEsp)Ep.4/3 In the fourth episode of the bizarre futuristic animé series Boogiepop Phantom, teenage Yoji Suganuma's life is beginning to collapse under the stress of his family life. About the only solace Yoji finds is in the high-tech artificial girlfriend he's created. When he begins experimenting with a new drug, he has a hard time distinguishing between reality and hallucination, and he starts to imagine Rie, the new woman at work, is his electronic playmate. Yoji's delusions become dangerous when he tries to remake Rie into the woman of his electronic dreams. The old saying of "Action speaks louder than words" couldn't have been better said in this episode. So even though you can't understand Japanese or Spanish, just watching it alone will give you an idea. |
