I have the worst luck trying to buy comics (manga) off of ebay.

I've gotten some pretty sweet deals there. I know I picked up the entire run of ROM: Spaceknight for $40 bucks, which isn't bad for over 70 comics.

Yeah. I thought so. The only other big pickup I made was the first 50 issues of the original Excalibur series.

That is impressive. I think the most comics I have bought on ebay were 10.

I buy junk off of ebay all the time. Way more stuff than I sell on there...I'm borderline addicted.

I don't think that is a bad addiction, since ebay's the best way I have found to get graphic novels & comics without spending a fortune.

I read The Salon by Nick Bertozzi (sp?). It was odd. Still not quite sure if I liked it. Hmmm...

Haven't heard of it. What type of books does he write?

I've heard of it, but I have no idea what it's about.

It's kind of a murder-mystery set in France during the time of Cezanne, Gaugin, and Picasso. There's absinthe induced dreams and artists running around naked and stuff. It's odd, different.

Sounds very different. Sounds like a book my sister would love.

That does sound like it's worth picking up. Have you decided whether or not you like it yet?

I think I've decided that it's okay. It's weird. I don't know if I'll read it again but I'll recommend it to people who want to try something different.

I finished Re-Gifters by Mike Carey, Sonny Liew, and Marc Hempel. It's short and cute. I read it because the main character is a Korean teenager.

I'm getting ready to start on Nightfisher. A friend recommended that so we'll see.
