I found this on keanuweb, it's an article from NY Daily:

Charlize Theron has declined the National Enquirer's proposal of marriage. The tabloid claims this week that the "Monster" star will wed Irish actor Stuart Townsend later this year in a Malibu beach ceremony where she'll be attended by her four "flower dogs" and Keanu Reeves' band, Dogstar, will play.

MANIC FANS DRIVE KEANU AWAY Shy Hollywood hunk Keanu Reeves had to flee a nightclub after screaming fans drove him away after he performed a gig. The reclusive star was playing bass guitar at the infamous Viper Room nightclub in Los Angeles with his band Becky, but his attempts to remain anonymous failed. One reveler says, "Everyone was really into the band and it wasn't until a couple of songs in that people started to notice who the bass player was. "Keanu was immediately surrounded by fawning girls. He was polite but seemed to be getting flustered by all the gushing and cooing over him." Keanu beat a retreat through an emergency door.

I think he must know he's never going to be taken very seriously as a musician. He has a great career in cinema and sometimes people just don't forget what you did first. Look at Madonna, sure she got 'Evita' but that's it. People don't give her a chance as an actress because she's too big in music. It may happen the same with Keanu. It must be frustrating for him and also embarrassing having those girls behave like that. He must be used to it though, but maybe not in those places.
